Ok, so I'm on a kick right now so says Leauki on this whole angel thing. So he'll really be interested in me going once more but from a different angle. I came across, in my studies, some of what I call a "dictionary of fallen angel words or terms." I would even venture to say these terms define both the present day action and theology of fallen angels and those they convert. I'm sure you'll recognize some of these terms, as I did, but do you know them all without checking a dictionary f...

Along with faithful angels we also have in the spiritual realm evil angels or as most commonly referred to as demons. Other than Lucifer (Satan) and a demon named Legion I'm not aware of any personal names for demons although in the Hebrew there are names for fallen angels in general. The Hebrew word for "devils" is shedim. They also are known as sair and satyr . The word "he goat" is satyr in Hebrew and is thought to be tied into demon creatures of some sort. Sometimes...

Some updates on the race for Prez. Actor Stephen Balwin has come out for Huckabee. He had some kind words for McCain but felt Huckabee stood for the things he believed in the most. So the race here in Florida appears so far to be close between McCain and Huckabee which is funny because Rudy has put all of his eggs into this Palmetto State's basket. I'm not sure so much about the Hillary/Obama saga and am trying to find the temperature here on them. So far it seems to be more ta...

I use the acronym BUSY all the time when it's applicable. It comes originally from this little story that has some biblical backing and interesting behind the scenes ideas as to what in the world is going on in our lives. Are we too busy for a reason? SATAN'S MEETING Satan called a worldwide convention of demons. In his opening address he said, "We can't keep Christians from going to church." "We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth." "We can't even ...

Well we had the boss over for dinner. My husband called from work on Thursday asking if it would be ok to invite one of the partners from the firm over for dinner on Sunday. His wife is in Atlanta and he's home alone for weeks. I said sure. Why not? I like to cook for others and it's been a while since we had a dinner guest. Back home we had dinner guests alot because our church family was so big there was always some reason to have a couple, single or family over. Sometimes ...

I got a wee bit nervous tonight. Not blown out whacked out frightened but a little bit apprehensive when I heard we had tornado warnings in our area. I kept hearing the beeping on the tv to alert us of this warning. So I'm in the kitchen making dinner thinking now what do we do? Do we hide in the bathtub like I've heard people do? I'm thinking our bathbub is against an exterior wall so is that a good place to be? We could hear the wind blowing and see the big flashes of lightening ...

I've been studying angels lately thru a course I'm taking from Liberty. I've never done a study on angels before but found it interesting. Some people are fascinated with this subject. Some even border on or are full blown worshippers of angels. Many don't realize that angels in scripture are always mentioned as male (Gabriel and Michael ) but yet when we go to the store and pick up a figurine of an angel it's usually depicted as female. Why is that? What do you know about angel...

I just received this notice from a missionary friend. I have another friend in Bulgaria and she's running into the same issues. She's absolutely freezing over there right now. Is this what we have to look forward to? This is scary as we watch the prices continue to rise. Sunday, January 13, 2008 Tajikistan: Energy Shortages, Extreme Cold Create Crisis Situation By Farangis Najibullah A crippling shortage of energy, combined with severe weather conditions, have left many pe...

I called home today. Home being Maine. I still love Florida but it doesn't quite feel like home yet. Home to me is back in the deep Maine woods. I miss my friends but do not miss the snow. Anyhow depending on who I talked to there was about 12-18 inches of the white fluffy stuff that fell from the sky today. I sure am not missing that. It was cold enough here today. The NE has been getting clobbered lately with cold and snow. Already, my dad said, they have had more snow this s...

Well, I'm back from the cruise. It was a blast as it was last year. Half Moon Cay is AWESOME!! We spent one whole day at Half Moon Cay and knowing about it from last year we were the first off the boat. We staked our claim putting our stuff on the chairs and headed for the blue green water. Oooooh that felt so good. An hour or so after landing there we took off for a nice beach run. I ran from one end of the island to the other along the shore barefoot and enjoying the water as it...

Today was a very nice day after a few days of chilly weather. I enjoyed the warmer temps immensely. Today I saw many people on the roads, walking, jogging or biking after days of what seemed to be a ghost town around here. I was one of them and glad to be there. Today I played pickleball with my husband and my son and I lost every game I played. But I had fun. Pickleball is addicting. Today I went for a nice run before and after going to the rec center. I took the long way ar...

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson went on a camping trip. After a good meal and a bottle of wine, they lay down for the night and went to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes awoke and nudged his faithful friend. "Watson, look up and tell me what you see." Watson replied, "I see millions and millions of stars." "And what does that tell you?" Holmes asked. Watson pondered for a minute. "Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. ...

I'm freezing in Florida!!! What the heck? I moved here thinking all was going to be warm and cozy and it's cooooold here right now. It's still the Sunshine State but with a bitter kick to the Sunshine right now. We dug out the winter gear yesterday for the first time and today is even colder. I heard there may be some spitting snow on the coast.......of Florida? We saw this coming for days as they warned us of the freeze to come saying it would be the coldest weather in the last fi...
