I've believed for some time now that secularism is being taught in our school systems and most have no idea what this really means. People are led to believe they can always trust the schoolbooks their children are using. Where are we heading with this? Why are parents homeschooling in droves today? What is being taught in history today nowhere resembles what I or my mom or grandmother were taught as children. A whole generation of children ar...
I heard about this boycott last week. It's a boycott against McDonald's for supporting same sex marriage for throwing their money and support to the homosexual activists. Many feel that McDonald's is abandoning those who helped make McDonald's the successful company it is namely familes with children. I don't like McDonald's anyhow, so it doesn't really affect me. I'd much rather go to Subway, BK, or Wendy's anyhow. I didn't even ...
Jesus said when you know the truth the truth will set you free. He also said that he was the truth and the way and that there was no other way. Of course that's not what the media has been telling us especially of late. I believe him. So I follow him. I pay attention to his words and I try my best to act and behave in a manner worthy of Him. I'm not perfect and I mess up on a pretty regular basis but as I get older it gets a bit easier to do what he w...
Well I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. The time must be ripe now for this sort of litigation. It seems as tho a Michigan man is in much emotional pain and is now finding himself mentally unstable so he needs to sue somebody to feel better. What's the problem? Well I guess he read the bible and it pained him so much that he became physically discomforted, bewildered and demoralized. Say what?? What did he read?&...
Every once in a while we hear a really good stupid criminal story. I love em' I've got a good one. In a town near to us a bunch of cars were found with drill holes in their gas tanks and of course empty gas tanks. People are starting to get desperate. It seems as tho somebody thought they'd help themselves to a good price on gasoline...say nothing per gallon. Can't beat that price! But, there was one small problem. I wonder how long it took him ...
No matter where I live or where I travel, it's always nice to come home again. Even during those years when we lived in the basement of an unfinished home, there was no place like home. When our boys were little we'd always say as we drove the last mile home after a vacation or extended trip away, "home again, home again, jiggidy jig." No matter how great the time away from home was it was always good to be home. It's always good to sleep ...
I'm currently reading "The Story of My Life" by Helen Keller. It's an easy read and one I coud read on the plane coming back from Ohio quite easily given all the interruptions. She wrote about her own extensive reading of the classics. She read literature in English, French and Greek all without being able to see or hear a blessed word! Amazing! What's my excuse? Here she wrote about her reading about Troy. "It was the Iliad t...
Many emotions came rushing to the surface when I read a particular article this morning. I was mad, as in very angry, sad as in very grieved, disappointed as in I was hoping our young people knew better than this and outraged, as in livid, because the adults knew what was going on, at least to some degree. What did I read? In Gloucester, MA a group of teenage girls all under the age of 16 made a pact to get pregnant. And they did. Right now ...
Can you imagine Hillary in a long black robe with a gavel in her hand? How does the sound of the words "Justice Hillary Clinton" fall on your earlobes? It could happen says one legal correspondent who covers the high court. According to Tony Mauro, in today's USA Today.com column, if Obama gets in he could very well appoint Hillary to the U.S. Supreme Court should a vacancy arise. It wouldn't be the first time, he said, that a President gives such a position to...
So I've been reading lately that it's looking like many of the black conservatives are going to ditch the GOP to vote for Obama. So when it comes right down to it, race trumps belief? That's what it's looking like. Armstrong Williams who is a black conservative talk show host has never voted for the Democrats before. That could very well change with this upcoming election. He said: "I don't necessarily like his policies; I don't ...
We went to another movie last night. We saw Prince Caspian and loved it. We looked in the paper and scoped out the movies and then went online to get the review ratings. We looked at "Maid of Honor" "Prince Caspian" "Bucket List" among others. Just about all of the moves garnered bad reviews except "Prince Caspian" which got a B+. Since there were no movies above a B+ we decided to go check it out. We were not disappointed. We saw the first "Chronicles of Narn...
Usually, when a journalist is censored in a Western nation, American news organizations respond with collective outrage. But as a major attack on press freedom unfolds in Canada, America's mainstream media are silent. Neither the TV networks nor the major newspapers have reported on hearings last week at what amounts to a Stalinesque show trial in Vancouver, British Columbia. Mark Steyn, a Canadian journalist who now lives in New Hampshire and whose column appears in...
I know very little about Obama and when I ask others, no one else seems to know either. So before we even consider to vote for him we should start at least getting to know the guy and his background don't ya think. So far this about sums up all I know about him and was sent to me by a friend. LET ME SEE IF I HAVE THIS STRAIGHT : HIS FATHER WAS A KENYAN, M U SL I M, BLACK - WE HAVE SEEN PICTURES OF HIS AFRICAN 'FAMILY'

I have a very big test to study for and take and then it's onto studying about the Doctrine of Satan. Now that sounds interesting. There are some things to think about right off before delving into this subject. First of all there is scarcely a culture, tribe or society to be found in the entire world who doesn't have some concept or fear of an evil power or deity. Many Christian missionaries and secular anthropologists alike have written about the different cultures t...
I've been thinking. I do that from time to time. Anyhow, I've been thinking I have no choice but to vote. Earlier in the year I said, and meant it, that I felt I could not vote the way things were going. I'm not excited about any of the candidates at all. I've said repeatedly I'm not a McCain supporter and I had no desire to vote for him. Of course many razzed me saying no vote is a vote for Hillary or Obama. So what? To me they all looked alike once you...
