Well I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later.  The time must be ripe now for this sort of litigation.  It seems as tho a Michigan man is in much emotional pain and is now finding himself mentally unstable so he needs to sue  somebody to feel better.  What's the problem?  Well I guess he read the bible and it pained him so much that he became physically discomforted, bewildered and demoralized.  Say what??   What did he read?&...

Every once in a while we hear a really good stupid criminal story.  I love em' I've got a good one.  In a town near to us a bunch of cars were found with drill holes in their gas tanks and of course empty gas tanks.  People are starting to get desperate.  It seems as tho somebody thought they'd help themselves to a good price on gasoline...say nothing per gallon.  Can't beat that price! But, there was one small problem.  I wonder how long it took him ...

Many emotions came rushing to the surface when I read a particular article this morning.  I was mad, as in very angry, sad as in very grieved, disappointed as in I was hoping our young people knew better than this and outraged, as in livid, because the adults knew what was going on, at least to some degree.    What did I read?  In Gloucester, MA a group of teenage girls all under the age of 16 made a pact to get pregnant.  And they did. Right now ...

Usually, when a journalist is censored in a Western nation, American news organizations respond with collective outrage. But as a major attack on press freedom unfolds in Canada, America's mainstream media are silent. Neither the TV networks nor the major newspapers have reported on hearings last week at what amounts to a Stalinesque show trial in Vancouver, British Columbia.    Mark Steyn, a Canadian journalist who now lives in New Hampshire and whose column appears in...

We always check our CC statements making sure all is proper before we make a payment as I'm sure most do. Well we just recieved our latest CC bill in the mail with a questionable charge.  It was only for a bit over $5.00 so we almost didn't bother but decided to call anyhow because it just didn't make sense.   It wasn't like any charge we would have made. On the statement it said we purchased something from "imagesparadise.com."  So we called today and found out...

I've been mulling over whether or not to go back to school when I'm finished my current studies.  I'm thinking about being a teacher.  It's not something brand new for me but something I enjoy doing and have thought of for a while.  When I was much younger I gave it some thought but opted instead for marriage and children.  While I enjoy teaching and have had some experience over the years and lately these last few years in small groups I have no desire to t...

Is this a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing?  Is this just another public school fiasco?  They wonder why parents want to homeschool?  Good grief.  The latest news out of California is that the Teacher's Association filed a brief against homeschooling families.  They argued to the court that parents should have no right over the education of their children.  They are trying to force all the children back into the public school system....

I am SO glad my kids are grown now.  But I do worry about my granchildren.  I remember being nervous big time when I first sent my young son(s) into the men's room for the first time.  I practically had my nose in the door waiting for them to come out listening for anything out of the ordinary.  Now we should worry  just as much about sending our daughters into the ladies' rooms.  Have you heard the latest?  The Govenor of CO, Bill Ritter,  just...

A senior meteorologist with AccuWeather.com has posted an open letter to the 2008 presidential candidates challenging them to conduct an honest debate over climate change.      In his open letter to the presidential candidates, meteorologist Joe Bastardi challenges whoever is elected in November to get five top scientists from both sides of the climate change issue "in front of you in the Oval Office and let them argue it out." He goes on to say that the press should not be...

Everyone is looking for the cheapest gas station these days.  Last I heard the average amount it takes to fill up a car now is $77.  We filled up our rental from almost dead empty and it cost us $52!!  Yikes.  Thank goodness I'm a biker and have a golf cart as an alternative.  Here the average price is about $3.69.  What is it near you?  Here's a way to find out the cheapest in your area by zip code.  Click on the MSN link and put in you...

Last week there was an AP article direct from Washington explaining there would be a whole new lingo  regarding the....I'm not sure what to call them now.......but were previously labeled "jihadists or al-Qaida" Anyhow this is what they said: Don't call them jihadists anymore.  And don't call Al-Qaida a movement. The Bush administration has launched a new front in the war on terrorism, this time targeting language. Federal agencies, including the State Department, ...

Freedom. It's something we, here, in the United States generally take for granted.  I'm as guilty as anyone.  It's much easier sometimes to gripe about the freedoms we are losing than to thank God for the freedoms we have.  I hate that the government tells me I have to put on my seatbelt when I drive.  I know it's the rebel in me.  I also know that as a Christian I'm bound to follow the law.  So I do what I don't want to do and I don't do what I wo...

First the Question: Should a Christian business owner have the right to refuse business they feel might compromise their personal testimony or their company policy? Now the story: A Christian couple in New Mexico own their own photography business.  Recently a lesbian couple asked this Christian couple if they would shoot their "committment ceremony" nearby.  They politely refused.  One of the lesbian partners filed a complaint against them with the New Mexico H...

Matt Foreman is the executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and has recently admitted to the public at his organization's  national conference February meeting that HIV/AIDS is a "gay disease."  His statement regarding AIDS surprised many of the attendees when he said, “Folks, with 70% of the people in this country living with HIV being gay or bi(sexual), we cannot deny that HIV is a gay disease. We have to own that and face up to that.&rdqu...
