The Tiger is now a Cheetah!
Published on December 14, 2009 By KFC Kickin For Christ In Current Events

I've just returned from Ohio where I was, for the most part, pretty news deprived.  I saw news bits here and there but taking care of two toddlers pretty much stole most of my time.

Anyhow one piece of news I couldn't miss was the Tiger Woods cheating scandal.  My first thought was how tragic because he seemed like such a great role model not only for everyone in and around the sports world but especially the black population because it's well known there are not alot of good black role models out there.

I was also thinking about names.  In the bible people's names meant something.  It told a story about who they were.

I'm thinking maybe instead of the name Tiger... his name should be changed to Cheetah!

Chester Cheetah and his favorite snack food is Cheetos?

on Dec 15, 2009

Why is everybody making such a fuss about this guy? So he is not some moral institution, he lied and cheated and his personal life has the normal everyday problems the rest of us have in the course of their lives. The american media is so highstrung when it comes to public figures and percieved moral proper behaviour that something like this "scandal" makes the evening news. I can think of many other issues that are a lot more interesting and worth knowing than that.

even fewer half-thai role models is my quess.

good thing oral robert's parents weren't into anything like manual or worse--teabagging, for instance.

You making fun of a man who just died today?  LINK

No courtesy grieving period by the left, especially for a religious figure.

anyone who claims god told him he'd die if his followers didn't send him 8 million bucks in a couple month's time is hardly worthy of anyone's grief or being designated a religious figure.

It's always between you and God whether you're Tiger aka Cheetah or Oral Roberts.  It's never really between us and anyone else in the long run.  If you don't have your vertical right, you won't have the horizontel right either.

It's always going to go back to you and your creator in the end.

So that makes it all right to mock his death...interest thing personal contempt isn't it. Let's all cheer the deaths of people we don't like while our government mandates forced charity (and a hell of a lot more than 8 million dollars worth). That should buy our right to hate whomever we wish right?

Can't say I knew much about the man. I think televangelism is a bit shady, (it pales compared to the "religious experience" of donations to Obama's campaign fund, and others to a lesser extent, but basically the same concept of money for promises) but if people what to send someone their money, that's their choice. It's not for me, and I can turn the channel, but I'm not going to dance on the grave of a dead man, regardless of my personal feelings.

i wasn't mocking his death...only his name as kfc was mocking that of tiger woods.

nor was i mocking his existence (he did that well enough himself) but merely stating a fact.  he did claim god told him he'd be taken within 3 months of his call for 8 million bucks in donations.

you, on the other hand, seem to have no problem mocking those who exercise their right to disagree with your political views, completely ignoring those who fund those with which you agree.

I'd say I nailed it just fine.

Oral Roberts had nothing to do with the OP's light hearted jab at Tiger Woods infidelity. Of course it might have been deemed inappropriate if he had died that day. Anymore dead people with funny names you want to throw in the hat?

on Dec 17, 2009

i wasn't mocking his death...only his name as kfc was mocking that of tiger woods.

Kingbee can you show me any examples of Oral Robert's and infidelity or promiscuity?

no you were not mocking his death but you were speaking ill of a man who had died earlier that day.  That is not the same as the jab I took at Tiger's name by changing it to Cheetah!  We were talking current events...the present.  You went back and picked on Roberts past.

I'm not an Oral Roberts fan by any stretch but I just don't get why you brought him up in the first place?  What does Roberts have to do with Tiger?  Do you understand what you have done?  Instead of acknowledging the fact that Tiger is indeed a "Cheetah" you ran to something else instead that has no bearing on the subject matter.  This is very typical of liberals.  Don't address what's right in front of you but change the subject matter.

However KFC, IF the Beeman can come up with some kind of correlation like infidelity or promiscuity that would correspond with the type of remarks they could be seen as comparable to yours.  While I will give the beeman the benefit of the doubt that he was caught unaware that he had just been reported as being passed away his name usuage I cannot see the connection and hope that he would either help me make the connection or admit to distasteful slander?

Tiger has been allegedly accused of over 14 women.  Tiger has even admitted it.  LINK

my initial reply specifically focused on two statements in your post, one of which was:

I was also thinking about names. In the bible people's names meant something. It told a story about who they were.

i prolly shoulda quoted your next statement as well:

I'm thinking maybe instead of the name Tiger... his name should be changed to Cheetah!

that was exactly what inspired my observation (clearly too carefully nuanced judging by the reaction) that it was indeed fortunate that roberts was named 'oral' rather than several other possibilities that came to mind (anal, for example, or vaginal).

it was a joke, son, a joke.

to the best of my knowledge, roberts was not a philanderer i had no intention of suggesting anything of the sort.   then again, neither have i heard of madoff foolin around behind his wife's back. i suspect both were too busy counting their money.
