The Tiger is now a Cheetah!
Published on December 14, 2009 By KFC Kickin For Christ In Current Events

I've just returned from Ohio where I was, for the most part, pretty news deprived.  I saw news bits here and there but taking care of two toddlers pretty much stole most of my time.

Anyhow one piece of news I couldn't miss was the Tiger Woods cheating scandal.  My first thought was how tragic because he seemed like such a great role model not only for everyone in and around the sports world but especially the black population because it's well known there are not alot of good black role models out there.

I was also thinking about names.  In the bible people's names meant something.  It told a story about who they were.

I'm thinking maybe instead of the name Tiger... his name should be changed to Cheetah!

Today I read in my german newspaper that Tiger's wife is moving out back to Sweden and was seen not wearing her wedding ring - it's a friggin soapopera. I feel sorry for that woman, all the media attention must be horrible for her. Why is this newsworthy in the first place? People just love to gossip I suppose.

While I will give the beeman the benefit of the doubt that he was caught unaware that he had just been reported as being passed away his name usuage I cannot see the connection and hope that he would either help me make the connection or admit to distasteful slander?

i'd certainly heard his name mentioned that day or someone else with an equally silly name woulda most likely come to mind more quickly than did roberts'.  (lame as that may sound, it wasn't til last nite that i realized charlie gibson was being replaced by dianne sawyer.)

while i appreciate your consideration, i can't help but point out that poking fun at names of those who've placed themselves in the public eye and ear is not even in the same galaxy as slander, much less distasteful slander.

judge not, lest ye be judged.

first off you're not using this verse correctly...second of all...you did exactly as I stated so if I made a judgment I made a correct one in this instance.

Scripture is clear that WE ARE TO JUDGE just not hypocritically or with malice.  We are to make right judgments...and I can give you lots of scripture...if you're really interested!

The one you quoted here is from Matt 7 is usually the only verse quoted by most non Christians.  It's funny how they don't know the bible but know that one!
