Anyone Want to Guess?

Some updates on the race for Prez.

Actor Stephen Balwin has come out for Huckabee. He had some kind words for McCain but felt Huckabee stood for the things he believed in the most.

So the race here in Florida appears so far to be close between McCain and Huckabee which is funny because Rudy has put all of his eggs into this Palmetto State's basket.

I'm not sure so much about the Hillary/Obama saga and am trying to find the temperature here on them. So far it seems to be more talk about the Republicans than Dems around here.

From what I understand the evangelicals are torn between McCain and Huck and could be okay with almost any of the Republicans with the exception of Rudy.

South Carolina political scientist Dr. Brent Nelson says the Republican presidential race is now John McCain's to lose. He seems to hold his own with the people Huckabee gets along with.

Time will tell. The attention now is on Florida and I intend to vote in my first Florida State Primary January 29th.

well Dude, can't argue with that. If you don't like him, you don't like him. I need a bit more than personality. I need some really hard core bad issues to NOT vote for him and so far I haven't run into any. I'm a bit bothered tho if the Democrats like him. Makes me want to think about why they like him and I do as well.

The latest news is that Mitt is ahead of McCain here by about three points or so with Rudy in third and Huckabee trailing in 4th. Still pretty close tho and could be anyone's guess at the moment.

What can I say? I'm trying to play nice these days.

nice is......good!! I like it!!

Don't expect me to agree with you very often (read: rarely), but I figure I can at least be cordial about it . . .

Besides, I've decided vitriol just isn't my color. It doesn't go well with my eyes at all . . .

Yea, kind of like the kiss of death.

I gave you one example of his character of who he is and you called it a personality flaw. He champions himself as America's Christian leader and yet pulled a stupid stunt like this. He's a hypocrite and as a result I WILL not let him off the hook. Take a look at his record as a Gov. of Arkansas. If you agree with that then that is fine. These are all character definitions.

From a personality perspective, I actually like him but I detest his actions.

Bottom line his words don't match up with his actions. Too much sugar coating it's making me sick!

Then again I've not really had a sweet tooth.

KFC,

Recently Huckabee just said that does not believe McCain to be dishonest. McCain has just recently been shown to be dishonest on multiple fronts. In a recent ad about Romney stating that he supported a withdrawal timetable. The second being that McCain stated back in 2000 that he wouldn't stoop to low blows in politics especially when running for the highest office in the US. McCain flat out lied that the recent Immigration bill was nothing about amnesty in it. The list goes on.

Huckabee doesn't believe McCain to be dishonest?

Do you think this is a personality flaw?

I called everyone I know in Florida to convince them to vote for McCain and it didn't take much work They were all voting that way already. My uncle is Navy so thats no huge surprise. If conservatives think Im going to take a Mitt Romney nomination lying down they are insane. It'll be tough becoming a Democrat, but thats exactly what I would do. I wont talk everyone out of voting Democratic like I usually do and Ill join them. I wont stop there either, I might be seen screaming 'yes we can' at the next Obama rally.

Ok so you don't like Romney. We get it. But can you at least tell us why?

NOTE: I even asked you this on your post.

Yeah, but if you vote McCain that's what you'll be doing. Even the New York Times (the intel department of Al Qaeda) likes that RINO.

I could go on all day about why I don't like Romney.

All politicians are phony, but Romney is unlike anything Ive ever seen. His positions have been tweaked and changed so many times, I cant even keep track of it anymore. Romney is also Bush candidate. He's enjoying the support of the Cheneys, and he is using Jeb Bush's Florida apparatus. I dont want anything to do with Bush/Cheney anymore. I would rather support McCain, the only guy who stood up to Bush and Rumsfilled when they mismanaged Iraq. When the surge in Iraq began, all the Democrats lined up against McCain denouncing it as his strategy. John Edwards in full hopes that it would fail even called it the 'McCain surge.' What has Romney done lately, Fix the Olympics?

Well if thats the case, then I became a Democrat in 2000 and 2004 when I voted for Bush. A President who has outspent the Clintons.

It's hard AD for me to comment on that which I don't know. I'm not in tune with all this what you wrote of. I mean maybe Huck really doesn't believe McCain is dishonest. I'm thinking that's pretty interesting to say since they are running against each other. It almost seems like an honest thing to say.

Huck has a book out called "Character Makes a Difference." He also has another book called "From Hope to HIgher Ground." Have you read either?

A President who has outspent the Clintons.

The Clintons didn't have war expenses either.

The Clintons didn't have war expenses either.

And Bush wouldn't have had MOST of his if we'd have actually stuck with the initial goal, defeating Al Qaeda in Afghanistan instead of wasting time, money, resources and (most importantly) our people in the quagmire of Iraq.

There are a lot of "Miss America" reasons floating around this site on one candidate or another. This was a good solid reason for liking or disliking one particular candidate. Thanks for sharing.

How about an article on the reasons? You dropped a few, but an in depth listing of your problems with him might convince some here. Might not, but then if you are calling individuals in Florida, an article here would reach more people in less time.
