It's Never Right To Do Wrong

Breaking News:

The Florida Pastor who was gathering Korans to burn has now called off the Koran burning ceremony.

I would definitely say this is for his good and for God's glory.  While many understand his frustration it was not the right thing to do and it's never right to do wrong.  Just because their radicals burn our flags and bibles and kill Christians and Jews  doesn't make it right for us to take vengeance and stoop to their level.

In the end it makes us no better than they.

While I don't know what motivated him to plan this event in the first place, I would be interested in knowing what changed his mind.

In the end, without burning the Korans, he definitely got people's attention.

Not so fast... the AP just reported it as postponed. It seems there is no intention of moving the mosque as this "pastor" was lead to believe.

and Muslims.

You forgot to mention the Muslims. It should read

...and kill Christians, Jews and Muslims doesn't make...

Radical Islamists kill a lot more muslims every day than they kill Jews and Christians.

Outside the US at least.

Some small fringe group that has gotten more publicity than they could have ever afforded on their own. I'm sure it will fill their coffers from like-minded people that never knew they existed. No publicity is bad publicity as they say.

Funny if they were wanting to burn US flags the ACLU would be suppling the matches and been cheered on.

It is interesting that Obama got involved in this yet totally ignored the Westborough Church (protesting US soldier's funerals). I suppose one picks and chooses what interests one.

This "church" should never have gotten the media attention it has. Their actions are reprehensible. I also wish the politicians would stay out of it. Just adds fuel.

You forgot to mention the Muslims.

Do you have numbers on this?  How can we know for sure?  I'm getting reports all the time about how radical muslims are going into churches and holding massacre parties.  Quite often they are killing Christians with the names of Mohummed or other Muslim names because they are converts to Christianity.  www.persecution.com reports many of these abuses/killings that we don't hear about thru the secular media.  Somali Christians who were converted from Islam, for instance living in Ethiopia, have come under increased attacks from Somali Muslims.

Regardless of how many non-Muslims they kill...one thing's for sure there's quite a difference from them killing Christians and Jews and one Pastor with 50 people burning their books.  We just had 10 humanitarians killed a few weeks ago and hardly a blip on the radar screen was seen compared to what ruckus this is causing.

yep, you beat me to it.  I was coming on to give the latest news to this crazy story.  He did cancel it but now is rethinking that after believing he was lied to.   I wrote this hours ago, after he first decided to cancel it.

Who knows how many at ground zero were Muslims?  They did not care about that.

And Nitro and KFC - he originally said he would stop it, but then changed it to suspend,  So both are correct.  Now a Baptist place in Kentucky wants to get in on the act.  Why?

For the same reason this clown wanted to in the first place!  It is a non-event, made an event by a media obsessed with finding boogey men in every corner - of the right.  Stop and think a moment.  If no one had paid attention to this guy - what would have happened?  He might have burned a book, but no one would care.

They are all just media whores.

I agree with your point here, KFC.  I was going to write them a letter (but I figured it wouldnt be read) just asking what do they plan on accomplishing by burning the Quran?  No muslim is going to be like 'aww man they're so right'.  Its just going to continue the cycle of hate/violence.  This definitely doesn't advance the Kingdom of Light but advances the Kingdom of Darkness.

This is like what happens in Elementary School.  Someone throws something at you well you find something that is bigger and can cause a greater mess.

What alarms me is not that the Afghanis protested but that they knew about this.  Most Afghanis don't know how to use a car so how could they know how to use the internet.  On top of that most Afghanis don't own a television OR the internet, this is actually a very very high percentage.  My question is how it got to Afghanistan so fast?  I could understand Saudi Arabia because a lot of citizens there have satellite dishes so they can watch the illegal Western stations.

Jones was a high school classmate of Limbaugh.  That's all the left needs to 'understand' this.

The whole thing would be silly were it not for our hypersensitive media making a deal out of it; but it fits the BO 'we're the bad guy' narrative so their giving it all the oxygen they can.

Joe reporter - To Afghan citizen - "So what do you think of the Quaran burning in the USA?"

They make the news, they no longer report it.

Rush said his school had 2000 kids.  Mine had 1500.  And I do not remember most of the faces in my year book.  But you are right.  Guilt by disassociation!

Good point.  Hadn't thought about that.  Another thing...a few weeks ago 10 humanitarians were killed by radical Muslims with the thought they may have been preaching Christianity (they had not) and compared to this current fiasco they were hardly a blip on the radar screen.

Hey, I just thought of something...maybe this Pastor could deal with those In Iran and offer NOT to burn their Holy Book if they release the other two hostages they've been holding for the last 14 months.

This "church" should never have gotten the media attention it has. Their

I'm glad you put quotes around church because the church of Christ wouldn't be doing such a thing.  It's very clear in scripture to... "as much as it is with you to be peaceable with all men."  And to love and bless your enemies and do good to those who wish to harm you (nobody said being a Christian is easy).  God said "I will have vengeance and I will repay."  By taking this on himself what this man is showing is his lack of faith and that is not a good example for a Pastor to take on.

Last I checked, God is still in control and still on his throne.

Unless you're the Discovery Channel enviro-terrorist. That one was put to bed pretty quick.

I guess this proves one man can make a difference. I don't get the big deal of burning a book even if it is the Koran or the Bible. it's just a book to me. It's the words that matter and I doubt those will be lost any time soon. For the Media to make such a big deal out of this is shameful considering they are the ones now responsible for the riots going on in Afghanistan over this book burning which is also stupid. If Muslims want to be stupid and make such a fuzz over something as stupid as a small group of people burning some Korans then they are stupid, childish and not as peaceful as they claim they are.

All this is ridiculous and shameful it's even been given this much attention. I could care less. Muslims don't like it they can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. they over there burning the American while bitching about an event that hasn't taken place yet. Bunch of hypocrites they are. as for this pastor, he needs to grow up. There are better ways to make a point. He's a man of God and he should be teaching people how to do things the right way, not purposely looking for trouble. Just because you can doesn't mean you have to do it.

It's bad enough the guy who wants to build the mosque in New York won't even take the families of the 9/11 people who died into consideration and at least make it seem as if he is. I think 15 minutes was way too much time for this guy to be famous.
