I was wondering if I should write Mr. Gore a letter about HIS global warming ideas.  I guess I just want to tell him how I'm freezing  here in Florida.   I've been drinking hot tea and warm cocoa for days now.  I'm wearing flannels, socks and heavy coats down here.   As I'm writing this, it's 34 degrees and it's been this cold for days now.  I ran four miles last night in 44 degree weather and my bare legs felt like ice cubes.  We haven't seen 60 degrees in days!

Good Grief!  This is Florida.  My husband said he even saw what looked like traces of snow here this morning when he got up.  In Florida?  We woke up to 29 degrees.  The only thing down here that's hot right now is this topic.  It's all over the news.  Shelters are opening up.  Animal shelters are taking precautions.  People are being told how to handle themselves, their homes and their pets  during this unusual cold snap.

They're saying this is the coldest spell we've had in a decade.   Last year we had a pretty cold winter.  Orange crops were in danger then of heavy frosts with the owners of the orchards working 24/7 to keep them from frosting over by spraying them with water.   Many people, here in my area, lost alot of their tropical plants and trees last year because it was so cold.  Now I've heard it's going to be even colder this winter and everyone is scrambling to cover their tender vegetation.

So much for Global Warming.

I once heard some BS about how global warming can actually cause colder than normal temperatures. It's funny we haven't heard any of that bull so far, but it is early.

I once heard some BS about how global warming can actually cause colder than normal temperatures. It's funny we haven't heard any of that bull so far, but it is early.

That is why they changed it to Climate Change.  It may be cooler in one area, but warmer in another.  The problem today is:

Winter Could Be Worst in 25 Years for USA...
CHILL MAP...
Britain braced for heaviest snowfall in 50-years...
GAS SUPPLIES RUNNING OUT IN UK...
Elderly burn books for warmth?
Army drafted to rescue 1,000 snow stranded motorists...
Vermont sets 'all-time record for one snowstorm'...
Iowa temps 'a solid 30 degrees below normal'...
Seoul buried in heaviest snowfall in 70 years...
3 die in fire at Detroit home; power was cut...
Midwest Sees Near-Record Lows, Snow By The Foot...
Miami shivers from coldest weather in decade; Florida Gov Signs Emergency Order ...

From Drudge report.  Clearly it is cold the world over this time.

And KFC, It has only been a year since you moved from MAINE - you know, the lower 48s ice box?  You are telling me you are acclimated to florida already?

Wait, you did say you had a golf cart right?  Guess you are a native now.

It's funny we haven't heard any of that bull so far, but it is early.

what's also interesting is the fact that we mostly hear about global warming in the hot summer months.  But during this time of year it's not a subject you hear of as often.

Doc.  I've been here more than 2 years now and I'm very happily acclimated!  I love the hot weather.  I say ...bring it on!

It was cold this morning, this from a guy born and raised in the cold snowy winters of New Jersey. I love cold but this morning, I too could have used some of that Global Warming myself. Talk about the worst time for me to have lost my car to the repoman.

I guess they might blame it on the fewer cars driving due to the gas prices and the economy these past couple of years. With them change is always a bad thing and always have to blame someone for it unless its the change they want at the time.

Darn!  Sorry, time flies I guess.

Gee, now I'm wondering if Mr. Gore is in hiding.  Haven't heard much of him lately with this freeze not only taking over our country but even in other parts of the world.  Britian is in quite a freeze as well.  They are being slammed with snow.   They say that this winter is shaping up to be the coldest in three decades for them as there seems no end in sight.

Maybe, Mr. Gore hibernates in the winter?

He was last seen in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Are you insinuating that Algore is akin to a snake?

haha AD...good one.  Kind of like sightings of where in the world is Waldo?

Now Doc, would I ever say that?

Thanks, I was trying to find a better picture of where they hooked up the exhaust to his mouth and hot air is blowing out.  hehe.

You are too much the lady to.  I am not.

Thanks Doc...that's why I keep you around...

But then I do like snow.

Cheers to that!

I guess Obama will be just like his buddy Carter. "Put an extra sweater on."
