It's Going to Be a Blue Christmas!

Yep, another boy.  So, let's see.  That makes for me two brothers, three sons, one stepson, and three grandsons!  I don't have any sisters, daughters or granddaughters to date.  There's still time.  It ain't over yet..

The Pink/White Nikes are going home with me!  It's going to be a Blue Christmas!

The name is to be announced which is per usual for my son and his wife.  I heard one name passed around but I won't say until it's final.  They like to wait until the baby's born before they even begin thinking about a name.  Good grief...it's not like they haven't had nine months already!!

Mom and baby are fine.  This is the biggest of the three.  Ethan was 7.2, Troy was 7.0 and this baby born today is 7.7 lbs.   She went into the hospital to be induced  at 5 am and the baby was born around 9 am.

Three boys in three years. I'm sure the new baby's just as adorable as the other two.   My son's three boys are four days further apart than my three were.  Close.  Real close so I know what's in store for this young family.

Congratulations to Brian, Amanda, Ethan and Troy for your new little son and baby brother.

What a special time! I would say congraduations, but I never understood why people say that for a birth.

I think a better one would be Praise be to G-D. KFC I know you wanted a daughter but think of it this way your families legacy is going to be going on for some time.

As for the name and waiting.  Most religious jews will wait to tell everyone the name until after the brit milah (aka circumcision).

Be Blessed! Are you going to stay up here in the north or go back down to South (Florida)?  How was your thanksgiving? Did you actually get to have a meal? What type of food did you have?

Hey PP how are you?

Yes, a new baby is a blessing from God and with all these sons/grandsons the name will not die out too soon.  We haven't had a girl born into my husband's family for 40 years now.

I'll be here for another two weeks or so or sooner if they don't need me.  But today alone and it's only a bit past lunch I've already changed five...count em...five poopy diapers!  And the new baby isn't even home yet!

I arrived here on Thanksgiving night so I cooked a small turkey for my husband and I on Wednesday, the day before.  On Thursday we made up three plates of leftovers....turkey, sweet potatoes, mashed potates, stuffing, squash and rolls along with pumpkin pie and visited a shut in who was alone for the entire Thanksgiving week.  She said it was better than going to a nice restaurant!  I could only spend about 90 minutes with her before I had to leave to catch the flight.  So we had a very rewarding simple Thanksgiving day.

How was yours?  Did you have turkey as well?

Blessings to you.
