This made me laugh.. aliens free from sin - uh huh. I think "sin" is a pretty human concept and doesn't apply to other lifeforms, terran or terrestrial. That sounds alot like tabloid article or a spoof.

I think it would get realllllly complicated if you debated what religion aliens theoretically have, should they indeed exist. If you assume that the conditions necessary for a planet to be able to develop and support life (correct distance from the sun, a moon to slow dow rotation, slanted axle for enabling different seaons, other planets to protect it from meteors, water, CO2 etc) are the same ones everywhere in the universe and that earth is the norm for a M class planet (couldn't resist the trek speak lol), it is theoretically possible that the right conditions happened somewhere else as well and that life there might have developed similiar to that on earth.

But since it is all just speculation, no matter how reasonable it sounds or not, and  nobody can travel there even if we did find a planet that fit the bill, it is a total moot point. Stating that one believes there might be life on mars comes down to hoping to prove some bacteria exist there - more or less. It is hardly a debate about universal brothers in faith.

I think thought experiments about whether aliens would feature "original sin" only makes the concept even more arcane.

Although I did wonder whether G-d has one chosen people on each planet or whether there is only one universe-wide. Perhaps each planet has one people who found Him first?

Well this will sure make it a lot easier for one world religion since so many of them seem to have alien/outer space rulers of worlds/ spaceships in them....

exactly.  I think we have enough troubles right now with the one planet we have.  I think we need to pay more attention to what we have now instead of speculating what's out there. 

well so far it's been proven that nobody lives on any of the planets that we know of.  So I'm just going with that for now.  Sensationalism sells but in the end it's the truth that wins out. 

hmmm I would think harder cuz more worlds to conquer and more people to maintain?  Anyhow I'm just not sure why any "Christian" church would get into the Sci-Fi business since that's not exactly what we were called to do. 

I believe in the great silence theory.  I feel if there was intelligent extraterristial we/they would have made contact.  Since there has been no contact the possibility of there being other intelligent life is slim.

Now, Math has shown that there is a possibility of there being multiple dimensions.  This is all with imaginary math though.  If there is multiple dimensions there could be life in those other dimensions.

Why? We couldn't make contact ourselves, even if we discovered (intelligent) life on some distant planet by some fluke. We just don't have the means and technology. As far as I know, astronomy basically just interprets pictures (very very broad discription) and makes educated assumptions based on what they see or don't see and based on physics. There is alot more to it of course. What makes you think other intelligent life could do more than we? As far as I know, we do not have the technology to travel to other planets, just going to Mars with a manned mission is nearly impossible. Living autonomously in a giant biosphere that produces everything you need to survive was tried in the 90ies in Arizona and it failed spectactularly LINK. I think Biosphere 2 is pretty interesting, and they gained alot of information from it. The complex is still used for research because it can simulate every climatezone on earth and scientists can go all mad without harming the environment.
