Months ago I was told that on September 25th our country was going to celebrate the first National Muslim Day of Prayer. I thought surely this must be a hoax and just a negative reaction to those opposing the President's Muslim heritage.
Well it seems as though it may be true after all. I was just informed that my daughter-in-law's mom, who is a teacher has that day off from school as a national holiday. A Muslim National Holiday here in our country?
Has anyone else heard anything about this? I find this very bizarre especially in lieu of the fact that Obama did everything he could to ignore the National Day of Prayer last May. Remember that controversy?

- The Athan will be chanted on Capitol Hill, echoing off of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and other great edifices that surround Capitol Hill
- Thousands of Muslims from all races, creeds, colors and ethnicities will gather for the sole purpose of prayer
- Bonds of friendship will be formed between those in attendance, both Muslims and Non-Muslims
- Muslim youth will experience tours of the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court.
- The peace, beauty and solidarity of Islam will shine through America 's capitol.
