Telling Others It's All About You
Published on August 31, 2009 By KFC Kickin For Christ In Religion

Globablly, we are heading south at a rapid rate of speed and nothing is going to stop us this time.  I believe the time is close.  Believers and non believers alike are sensing something is about to happen all over the world.  Christ said in the last days the love of many would wax cold.  I'm sensing that today.

For years in our country, we've watched silently as our freedoms erode around us as link by link the shackles are being clamped on.  We are no longer considered the land of the brave and the free we once were.  We are a society of over indulgent, self seeking, complaining spoiled brats who want nothing else but to get our own way.  It's all about me and what I want.  It's all about now.   Our excessive living has weakened us, not made us stronger.  We have become dependant on material things while we abuse people who dare get in our way.

It should be the other way around.  We should use things and cherish people but I'm afraid we have been duped into thinking it's ok to cherish things and use people.

Look at the scandals all around us.   A day doesn't go by and yet another leader or hero falls into this trap of excessive living bringing himself down as well as those around him.  Presidents, Governors, Preachers, Coaches, Football players and the list goes on.  Those who should be leading us are stealing from us instead whether it be in the form of money, adultery or even our trust.  Those in leadership positions who should be taking care by being good examples are instead no more than goats in sheep's clothing seeking to devour any who get in their way.   Whatever happened to a good name should be protected and is worth more than gold and silver?

Last week in just a normal conversation with two strangers I met at an open house, I could see how brainwashed we've become in the  "it's all about me society."

We were talking and one thing led to another and I mentioned the fact that my husband and I were at a crossroads trying to make a decision on our next move.  That may mean packing up and moving out of our beautiful new home.  Yes, we are very comfortable and thought this would be it.  Yes, we have it made in the shade as some would say but we are not quite content because we are waiting on God's next marching orders wondering if we should sell and move along.  I'm not totally fond of this idea, but if it's God, who am I to say no?

I told the two ladies that it quite possibly is God moving us out of our comfort zone to give it all up for others. If so, we need to be willing to go.

Well one of these ladies with a bit of a scornful look on her face said "well you have to do what is right for you first."  I kindly explained to her that the decision we're mulling would indeed be a sacrifice but one we're willing to make if we know it's from God.  The best place to be in all the world is the center of God's will.  I told her that the way I look at it from a Chrisitian POV is that it's God first, me second.  To serve God means to serve others before yourself.   She had no reply but her companion agreed with this outlook.

Think about it.  What a different place this world would be if we all took the time to put others ahead of ourselves.  Instead of stealing from one another, we would be giving.  Instead of committing adultery on our spouses we would be honoring our commitments, strengthening our families instead of destroying them.  Instead of taking advantage of others we would rather choose to be great examples for those in our pathway instead of bringing shame to our community, our state and our country by violating that trust.

We've been sold a soggy bill of goods thinking that we can be happy by heaping upon ourselves more and more and more stuff stepping on others to get it.  When in fact, the real joy comes in helping others and being "other minded" rather than self seeking.

Yesterday the sermon at church was on doing ALL things without complaining or grumbling.  We read this:

"Do everything without complaining or arguing in that you may become blameless and harmless without fault in a crooked and depraved generation..."  Philip 2:14-15

The world being crooked means it's out of proper alignment.  The word crooked comes from the Greek word "Skolios" where we get scoliosis from.  It means "curved, bent, winding" and metaphoricaly means "crooked, perverse, unjust" or "unscrupulous; dishonest" and can also be translated "warped."

Get the picture?   Doesn't this explain our world today?  It's out of alignment.  As a Christian I have to ask myself, am I helping the world for the better or for the worse?

So we have to ask ourselves, what kind of advertisement are we?  There's nothing like an improper road sign.  It can potentially have devestating effects.  It can give the wrong direction.

When we complain and grumble,  aren't we showing a negative attitude and rejecting God's will?  We need to keep that in mind when we hold up our sign of complaining in front of others.  Aren't we giving the wrong message?  Doesn't God say to be blameless and harmless for the sake of others?  For the sake of the world?

Yes.  Afterall when it's all said and done, we have to live with ourselves and the directions we gave.  One day we will meet our creator and all becomes visible in the light.  Everything is made visible...every little thing.

It's time we make sure the road sign we're holding is pointing in the right direction.

enlighten me here then.

You said we (America) has been on top for too long and needs to be brought low to be on a level playing field with the rest of the world.

How do you think we can turn back progress?

In case you're wondering exactly what I mean by "progress", it's the progess of science and technology.

Ok, what I was speaking of was biblical prophecy with spiritual implications.  Many countries are named in scripture surrounding Armageddon and last day stuff but the United States is NOT named.

What I was aluding to earlier and what I think you're referring to is the fact that the bible is clear that some of these countries ....Russia, Iran, Libya,Turkey and Sudan for a few are going to invade Israel.   It's a prophecy that has not in anytime in history ever been fulfilled.  Now that's a problem because we are sort of in the way to this invasion.  While they're already chomping at the bit, we pose a bit of a problem to them.

Our country has only been around for 233 years.  We, in the whole scope of things, are a baby country but yet we soon became a super power very quickly.   We also have been very instrumental in the birth of the Nation Israel becoming a country in 1948.....another baby country.    The story surrounding their founding is nothing short of miraculous and America had a big part in all this with our President Truman leading the way.  He, one day was going to vote against Israel's statehood and the next day he was convincing others in the U.N. to vote for her.  The vote went thru and Israel became a nation.  Israel is key to it all.

Another aspect to all of this end time prophecy is some sort of one world order.  In order for that to happen we have to be taken down a notch because we've been, up until now, head and shoulders among the rest of the nations of the world, serving as some say, as the bully of the world.  I believe we have been in the last 200 years or so what Rome was during Roman times and Greece was during the days of Alexander.

I believe the prophecy that we have been reading for centuries is starting to take shape.  I believe our country was put here for the sole purpose of protecting and helping  Israel come into her country.  Now that job's done and Israel is fast becoming a super power on her own we are no longer needed.  Our job is done (as far as God is concerned by looking at prophecy) and realistically I believe our demise is on the way.

Now this is not a big stretch of the imagination.  We are so indebted to Russia and China especially there's no getting out of it.  Why in the world would one wish to be indebted to their enemies?  What purpose is in that?  How does that make one feel?  We are fast approaching the time when what America says will mean nothing anymore.   We are fast becoming a broken nation.  I'm starting to think Obama is here to finish us off.

On top of all this..my husband went to a CPE (continuing education) for his CPA license.  In one of the seminars it was explained to them that America's accounting system is about to change.  Up until now we've been solo having our own accounting system while the rest of the world was on some international system.  The last five years it was pointed out to the students the changes that have come about is showing that we, too, are slowly heading into this international accounting system.  This makes sense when you look at prophecy and will again, be part of bringing us down to par with the rest of the world.

That's what I mean when I say somehow (supernaturally) we have to be brought down to the level of the rest of the world for this to all take place.  Everything is lined up.  It's just a matter of putting the last few pieces of the puzzle together.

You still didn't explain how you think that can happen. Why shouldn't the rest of the world catch up with us?

Russia and China are not our enemies.

you tell me.  Look at the world.  Is it more likely that we are going to somehow become crippled or is it likely the rest of the nations are going to all be super powers like us?  Which makes more sense?  The one world order IS going to happen.  We are gearing up for it as we speak.  It's only a matter of how long.  We are going to be forced into it for economic reasons especially.

Russia and China are not our enemies.

Well it depends on who you talk to.  They really are.  They can't be trusted.  Trust me.  We don't trust them very much.  They are not our friends.

Do you read the newspapers from other countries?  They think we're a bunch of gun- toting ignorant red necks who need to be brought down a peg or five.

Every country I've ever been too, simultaneouly hates us and wants to be us.

IMO, the UN will have a big role to play when it comes time to whip us into line.

But then again, maybe not.  I'm no seer.

As long as there are people like you who think that way, yes, that's what will happen. I don't think it would be by supernatural means. I think it would be a nuclear war. Is that what you want? You seem to care more about Israel than you do America. Why do you worship a god that wants your homeland destroyed? Would you enjoy living in an America like that? Would you want your children to? (Assuming you survive, of course.)

But then again, maybe not. I'm no seer.

neither am I.  I can only go by what is written and try to put it into a modern fulfillment of these prophecies written by the Prophets of long ago who knew nothing about our modern terminology and technology.  Interestingly tho, these countries are still here and kicking.

As long as there are people like you who think that way, yes, that's what will happen. I don't think it would be by supernatural means. I think it would be a nuclear war. Is that what you want?

What I think means nothing.  My thinking is not going to bring on the destruction of our country.

You don't think?  Maybe that's the problem....start thinking about it.  It's really all about the supernatural.  We are just pawns in the game of life between good and evil.  Nuclear power may very well be part of this.  Time will tell.

Why do you worship a god that wants your homeland destroyed? Would you enjoy living in an America like that? Would you want your children to? (Assuming you survive, of course.)

Of course not but who am I to get in the way of God's decree?  This is God's plan not mine.  I'm not making this up.  I worship a God who is preparing a place for me that is much better than anything this world has to offer.  He told us not to get to comfortable here.  He's bringing us to a better place so don't hold onto things of this world.

So we've been warned.

That doesn't mean you have to like it.

IMO, Priestcraft.

IMO, Priestcraft.

I can't argue with opinion.  Your opinion is yours to keep.

on Sep 10, 2009

Consider the principle of Ockham's Razor. Consider that some priests have done bad things. Why is it easier or better to believe in the supernatural? Because you hope that there's something better than your life? Why isn't your life good enough? You're afraid that your life may never be good enough for God. Therefore it's never good enough for you. When he said, "My spirit will not always strive with Man", maybe he meant it in a good way.

Ezekiel may have been referring to the United States in several places - in one place he notes that Saudi Arabia, England, and the "Young Lions" would object to the invasion of Isreal by Russia,.  In another place he talks of 'those who dwell carelessly on the coast' which could mean a lot of things because it isn't very clear.
