Another senseless shooting. Another hothead takes up a gun and kills innocent people.
This time three police officers are killed in Philadelphia. They were ambushed by a 23 year old young man with serious issues.
Yesteryday it was in NY when 13 people along with the gunman were killed. Was there a link?
I noticed in both these two cases they had lost their jobs. I've been bothered lately by just how people are getting fired. It just doesn't seem right.
I was just having a conversation with my son about this last week. He's seeing people getting axed when they come into work first thing in the morning. They're given a box to clean out their desk and told they're done. I know others who are told the same way. They come to work, having no idea what is about to happen and are told they no longer have a job. This is happening all over the place.
This is rotten.
What's even worse is some are being told to take unpaid days off (furlough days) in order to save jobs thinking it's not great but at least they have a job and then getting the boot after their furlough days are completed.
That's very rotten.
I mean, if they think their job is in trouble they could at least start planning and/or looking for another job while they finish what should be some sort of notice they are being fired.
It was always protocol that when you leave a job a decent person would give two weeks notice. Been like that for a long time. But look how people are being treated by their employers. The employer would like or expect to get a two week notice when their employee leaves so why can't they do the same? It's common decency.
While I'm not making excuses for these very upset or temper driven men who are blasting away people, I think some of this could have been deflected if they were treated like human beings instead of useless bondslaves.
Emotions are running high these days. Do we have to help it along?
Some of these Employers are going to have plenty to answer for. I wonder how they can sleep at night.
