My three sons are......... ahem.......a little bit competitive. In a friendly sort of way of course. They are very close in age and have been good athletes all through their growing up years. Actually they are still somewhat involved in sports in their young to middle twenties.
Now I'm not sure if that's what bred all this competition stuff or not, but their competitive nature spilled out in other areas. If one bought an ipod, the other had to buy a better ipod. If one bought a car, the other had to buy a nicer car (really not that different in my book). I remember when one of them got engaged and was out shopping for a wedding ring. He called me and asked what size ring his brother got for his bride, of course, wanting to go that one step larger.
I remember one time before any of them got married they were arguing, at the dinner table, which girlfriend was cuter, smarter, and was the better cook. Hands down Amanda got that vote.
Then of course it turns to looks. Which is the cuter brother? Through the years I'd hear different opinions about that from the girls, some of them not young girls either. I knew some married women who would voice their opinion on that subject because they had their favorite out of the three for whatever reason......including my grandmother. And I'll never tell.
So with that in mind. I just got this from my oldest today. I can already hear what the other two are going to say when they see this. This has alot of mileage to it. I think we're going to be hearing about this one for some time to come. Here's a picture to go along with it.
Courtney submitted our picture for the radio station's cutest couple's contest and WE WON.

I guess this settles who is the best looking guy in the family!
I guess they won tickets to some concert with backstage passes, a night in a very nice hotel and a $100 gift certificate to the mall. He's very excited. I'm glad for them because they can use it after a string of bad circumstances and mounting bills to pay after the wedding.
