He Says It's Time to Get The Woolies Out

What is it about husbands and weather?  Geeesh!

I think my husband should have been a weatherman.  His favorite channel has got to be the weather station.  Hands down.  I could care less unless I have plans or there's a big storm coming.  Otherwise I just deal with it.

Not him.

Nope.

Not only does he have to know our weather here for the next 10 days but he also keeps an eye on where all the kids live in their perspective states and our home state of Maine.   He's got some sort of special alert on his computer seeing which kid has the coldest, warmest, most humid, snowiest etc. weather.  Right now Ohio is looking cold.  He told me.

Anyhow he's getting a kick out of the upcoming weather back in our home state.  I have to admit it's quite interesting noting the difference between here and there.  In the summer it's not such a big difference.   Check this out:

I'm really, really liking Florida right now.  Notice how the 16th looks warmer!!!  Brrrrrrr.  I don't dare complain when we get these 50-60 degree days and I'm a bit chilly.
To those back home.  I'm feeling your pain really.  You know I've got a guest room all ready for those who wish to thaw out and to remember once again what it's like to go out without a coat.

KFC, I had to do a double take on your article - I thought you were harboring terrorists (Bill Ayers style) at first glance!

There is a reason I did not settle in Ohio after college!  We are going to be cold, but not that cold!

Argggghhhh...I once explained to someone why they might reconsider living in Ohio.  I said, "Open your freezer door.  Stick your head in it and pull the door as closed as you can.  Then ask yourself, 'would I like to live here?'"

While the temps today in Las Cruces are very chilly, the sun is in full swing, very bright indeed!

as to the weather channel, I rarely watch it nor do I watch the weather very much on the evening news.  Our forecasts are pretty cvlose to the same every day: sunny.

Be well.

The weather has been quite something back in Maine and NH these last few days.  Many are without power as an ice storm came barreling through there this past weekend.

Down here in sunny Florida we got the news reports and I had to chuckle about one quote in particular.  There was a quote in our local newspaper here from a Portland, Maine guy who said he was  darn sick of winter and they still had nine days before the official start of it.

Now that's going to be a long winter for someone! Hasn't even started yet!

Down here I was in a store talking with a Canadian and he brought up that same quote chuckling about it as well.  Later that afternoon I spoke with my son, the editor who said he pulled that story off the AP wire and highlighted that particular quote.

I think the man behind the quote needs to move to Florida~

It's going to be high 70's all week here.  That's the way I like it!
