Fun and Noise Coming to My House
Published on September 18, 2008 By KFC Kickin For Christ In Home & Family

Ok, I already said I have too much time on my hands.  There's lots I could do today and I need to get my butt off this chair and get going.  I have a large flat of flowers to plant.  I have five big pots of mums to do something with and I need to get an ironing done before the rush of much company comes next week.

Brian, Amanda and the two grandbabies are coming next week.  It should be a fun plane trip with two babies.  At least this time Amanda has help.  Last year she did it alone although she only had Ethan and now that Troy has entered the picture there's just no way to manage two little ones and the suitcases by herself.

Ethan is going to have fun.  We have much planned.  Brian has already jokingly said that he and Amanda have booked a cruise after making a pit stop at my house.  Go ahead I said.....I've got applesauce already for the baby......LOL.

Ethan has a new fun thing he likes to do.  Scream.  Yep.  Gotta love it.  I wonder what the neighbors are going to think?

I think we're going to learn a new game.  It's called "no."  I wonder if Ethan will like it.......

Seriously I'm thinking Amanda would love to take a day with no baby cares and if she wants she's got it.  They may go to Sea World for one day and the beach with just Ethan for another.  That should liberate her a little bit.  I told Amanda I fully expect to be in the house only to hear the putt-putt of the golf cart go up the street and look out the window to see Brian and Amanda escaping childless.  Sort of like running away.   Ha!  Within reason, that's ok.

So I bought the diapers and the wipes, and then had to buy some little toy boats for Ethan.  Then I got some cute little baby socks for Troy.  Then I had to get the "juice buddy" which I never heard of before for Ethan as well.  Everytime I go out I bring something back usually for Ethan only to hear the husband complain.  I also bought him a special plate that has three sections and of course, he has to have the family joke of his very own Pez Dispenser.  He would not be the typical male in this family without his very own Pez.

A friend at work is loaning us two car seats.  Another friend is giving us a seat for the baby, a stroller, and a playpen thingy for Troy to sleep in at night.  We're hoping we can coax Ethan to sleep on a twin mattress.

Lots of stuff you need when babies come to visit.  Now I think I know why I didn't travel much when I had three of my own.  Too much work.  I had all I could do to travel to Massachusetts from Maine back then.  I was all wore out.

Hopefully Amanda will find this a relaxing visit and go back rested instead of worn out.
