Why are people comparing Obama who is running for PRESIDENT and Palin, who is looking for the Vice President slot?

Obama is running against McCain so why aren't people comparing the experience of THOSE TWO? 

McCain has Obama beat on experience, and the fact McCain is considered a Maverick even by his own party proves he's the better candidate.  He's worked with Democrats on things Republicans by and large did not support (the immigration bill being one).

IMO, each candidate showed EXACTLY where their heart is when they picked their VP's.

Obama picked the establishment, an insider type politician.

McCain picked another Maverick, someone who doesn't give un-thinking loyalty to her party.

If someone came into my home with a gun and threatened my family and I could only turn to two people for help..Obama or McCain...well, I would pick McCain hands down.

If I had a million dollars I "had" to give to McCain or Obama.  I'd give it to McCain.  Even tho he would no doubt do some things I didn't like, I believe he'd manage it far better than Obama, who would divide it and give it away then ask for more.

The only place I can see someone like Obama in MY life is at a coffee house, hopped up on too much caffeine talking about all the things that need to change in this country...but not having a single way to change them. 

Certainly not, NEVER as President of our great nation.

Remember the bridge to nowhere my friend. Palin was originally against it but when the party starting critisizing it palin caved in. McCain is also in no way a maverick. Unless you consider someone who agrees with the bush admistration more than 90% of the time. He's caved in many of times to the far right during this campaign. Remember when he said that he opposed to waterboarding. I had some actual respect for that man. But when the chance came for him to actually do something about it in the senate, McCain did nothing. and you say obama is just words

Yes, and once Obama becomes a war hero or actually does something, we will stop claiming that he is just words.

First of all, it wasn't a bridge to nowhere.  It was going to connect an island to the mainland since the island hosts the airport and the only other way into the mainland is by ferry, not to mention the town of Ketchikan can not expand anywhere but to the island because of the mountains.  But that's another article.

Second, she killed the bridge to nowhere.  So how is that caving?

McCain IS a Republican, so it's not strange or odd that he agrees with them most of the time.  The point is he does not always follow the party line, he does what he considers right.

Is he more concerned with toeing the party line right now?  Uh, YEAH.  Duh, that's common sense.

Look at the Hillary Clinton.  She says Obama brings no experience ONLY TALK....or she said that before, now I guess she "caved" and is following party lines.

and don't forget Biden who said after he dropped out that "McCain was the only qualified candidate".  Captured right on the news......so is he caving now as well?

Served?  he has worked at it for 143 days.  He has campaigned the rest.  As for the rest, Palin still has more.  But I guess I can put on my resume "Media Delivery Specialist" as a qualification for CEO (in case you dont know, that is PC speak for paperboy).  The rest of his qualifications are geat qualifications for dog catcher, and little else.

He taught law at chicago law school for severalyears, lecturer for 4 years and senior lecturer for 8 years.

He was a civil rights lawyer for 11 years.

He also went to Harvard Law school for 3

That only qualifies you to be a jerk and write papers.  Hardly a qualification for any REAL job.  And going to school is a job?  yea, I guess liberals want to pay you to do that!

Note: For the record, no one said "No Job", just no applicable experience.  ON that note, answer 2 questions.

1: Name the cases he litigated and their outcome (not that he wrote a brief on, that he stood before a judge on).

2: He is running for president, not Chief Justice.  Do you know the difference in the jobs?.
