It May Cause Emotional Stress

Well I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later.  The time must be ripe now for this sort of litigation.

It seems as tho a Michigan man is in much emotional pain and is now finding himself mentally unstable so he needs to sue  somebody to feel better.

What's the problem?

Well I guess he read the bible and it pained him so much that he became physically discomforted, bewildered and demoralized.  Say what??   What did he read?

He read that homosexuality was a sin.  So he's suing Zondervan Publishing Company claiming their version of the bible refers to homosexuality as a sin.

Gee whiz.  Why didn't he stick to the Sermon on the Mount?  I mean I don't read Stephen King Novels but if I did and I got frightened does that mean I can sue him now?

Excuse me, but I have a bible right here written in 1900 published in London from the original Greek by Fleming H Russell Co.  that says "that men were indulging in vile practices with men."

So it's not like Zondervan just made this up now.  Good grief!  What about other books written all across the literature spectrum that mentions homosexuality?  Should we burn them now?  Back to burning books are we?

Bradley LaShawn Fowler, 39, of Canton, MI, who has a blog on Senator Obama's campaign website, is suing two major Christian publishers for violating his constitutionary rights and causing emotional pain.

Hmmmm I wonder what Obama things of this guy?

He's seeking $60 million dollars from Zondervan and $10 million from Thomas Nelson Publishing in lawsuits filed in the U.S. District Court in Michigan.

So would this come under the hate crimes legislation?  Is teaching the bible to our children or preaching from the pulpit now in these modern times considered hate speech?

It appears so.

well I was thinking about getting some Stepen King novels and scaring myself half to death and then suing him. Do you think it'll work?

Let's try it. Makes as much sense as this schmo.

Do you think the payout can be increased with more people? I could use some spending cash.

What if I sue King for false advertisement if his books don't scare me?

As for the article, just another attempt at making quick cash. I thing I always notice about these kinds of stories is no one ever questions the lawyers in these lawsuits. I mean do lawyers simple take cases without question? Do they truly believe such a case could be won? Do any lawyers ever laugh at a potential client when getting such a crazy idea for a lawsuit? Obviously this last question is answered by the "potential client" words but still, I have to believe they have to get a laugh even if it was behind closed doors.
