I'll be heading to Ohio in a few weeks staying with my son and daughter in law as they await the birth of their second child. I'll have the honor of being able to spoil....ummmmm I mean take care of little Ethan when my d-i-l goes into the hospital. It was nice seeing all three of them at the wedding and not so hard saying good-bye knowing I'd be at their doorstep in a few short weeks.
I've been doing some traveling lately. Less than a month ago I was in Lynchburg, then last week I was in Chicago and now am packing my bag getting ready for Ohio. I may even squeeze Maine in before Ohio if I can get cheap enough tickets. Still looking.
One of the things I'm hoping to do is keep a date with Tova and visit the Creation Museum. This Museum is the first of it's kind in Petersburg and presents a literal interpretation of Creation via the bible. It has had over 400,000 visitors since it opened last May. It's been a terrific first year for this new venture.
They are now talking about expanding it. One of the new additions will include a Children's outdoor playground, more parking lots and an auditorium for speakers to visit among other things.
But since the crowds have been larger than expected some extras have already been added. They've added more walking trails, a children's reading program and a petting zoo among other things.
The popularity of this museum has far out surpassed any expectations and they continue to be a point of interest in the Cincinnati area.
Now many are requesting museums like this be built in their cities. While there are no such plans right now the people at the Creation Museum are starting to plan one-room displays throughout the country to serve as mini-museums.
I can't wait to see this first hand and am kind of glad I waited since they've made even more improvements than when I first wrote about this museum more than a year ago.
It's about time I get to visit this place since I've written about it more than once in hopes of one day seeing it in person.
