Good Stuff

OK, this is sort of dumb.....but I'm just sitting here, taking a lunch break, checking my email and really enjoying my sandwich.  So I got to thinking of asking the JUsers what their favorite sandwich is.  Who knows maybe I'll come up with a new favorite.

I'm not especially a big sandwich eater.  Usually I'll opt for soup, leftover pasta or salad for lunch but on occasion I like to have a sandwich.

Today I'm eating a fresh tomato and cheese with mayo on whole wheat bread.  I've got to say this has to be my favorite.  Once in a while I go for th PB&J or the boring ham and cheese and I love the Subway Roasted Chicken sandwich.   But, I've got to say if I'm hankering for second's it's got to be my favorite.   I can't seem to just eat one tomato and cheese.

What's your favorite?

It is Knockwurst and pastrimi with Sauer Kraut and spicy mustard on Rye. It is what Rye is made for! (knockwurst is a german sausage - very good on its own too).

Ok pastami sounds good and even Saurkraut is good...especially like it with hotdogs.  Rye bread....ok, like that if it's fresh....but knockwurst.......well I'd put that up there with the hash.

My neighbor used to put tomato slices on her egg and tuna sandwiches,  really scrumptious too.

My favorite though is always a thick juicy hamburger,  on toast,  with a dab of catsup and Gedney pantry pickles.  Wash it down with a tall cold glass of milk  or better yet a chocolate malt.

Trudy,

Both of your concoctions sound good.  I still want to try SC's idea and haven't yet.  Maybe tomorrrow.   Never heard of Gedney pickles tho.  Sweet?  Sour?
