Did You Hear This One?

Did you hear this one?  Ohhhhh you have to hear this.

How stupid can one be ...........expecting us to be as stupid as she?

It seems as tho a 37 year old lawyer and TV commentator has a bit of a problem.

She is a compulsive gambler and now she's suing the casinos for racketeering;  for separating her from her mooola!  Yep.  She's chasing another long-shot.

Gotta give her credit.  She's consistent and persistent.

It seems she started out as an ambitious lawyer and TV commentator who started going to Atlantic City casinos for fun and soon was involved in high-roller action that included limousine service whisking her right to the resort for her daily playtime.

She spent much time at the blackjack tables as her gambling spun out of control, staying days at a time at these tables.  She was so bitten by the gambling bug she wouldn't leave even to eat and sleep. She was hooked.

Her losses totaled almost $1 million.  So now she's bringing a $20 million racketeering lawsuit against six Atlantic City casinos and another in Las Vagas claiming they should have stopped her by cutting her off.  They should have counseled her to stop.  They should have made her see that she had a compulsion.

She's saying this is their duty to notice such things.  She says they have a duty to care for her when they saw the length of time she spent at these tables.  They had a duty to point out to her that she was not of her right mind.

Say what?  A 37 year old lawyer needs a blackjack babysitting service?   Can you imagine had they tried to stop her?  She would have sued them for NOT allowing her to lose her $1 million.

Because of her gambling compulsion she has lost her law practice, her apartment, her parents' home and still owes the IRS $58,000.  She also dipped into her clients' escrow accounts to finance her gambling habit.  She was disbarred and now faces criminal charges and is now trying to avoid a prison term.

Hmmmm I wonder if she even paid off her college debt yet?

Get this.  With all this self-made misery she actually considered swerving into oncoming traffic to kill herself.  Do you see a pattern here?  I can just imagine some mom with kids in the van dying because this very selfish, not thinking of anybody but me, young woman decides she doesn't want to face the consequences of her very bad decisions.

Of course the Casinos deny all wrongdoing saying this lady brought it all on herself.  But it's still going forward to the court system.  I wonder who is paying her lawyers?

Can you believe it?

I'm just trying to figure out how she lost her parent's home?

I mean she's 37 years old.  How did this happen?

That would be the day, my 37 year old took my home away from us.

Do you hear that boys?  Don't even think about it!

heehehehee not that I have to worry......I raised Saints after all...

Good lookin saints at least.  I mean if ya gotta be a saint, might as well be hot.  I'm just sayin...

This lady doesn't want to take responsibility for her problems.  Better to blame others.  Easier too.

She is the epitome of the legal profession. You are right. If they had stopped her, she would have sued. As it is, because of the legal system, even with no hope of winning, she is going to cost them. Kind of like a John Edwards in drag.

that's what I'm thinking....it's a damned if they do and damned if they don't sort of thing.....the whole thing should be thrown out.  I think it's just another long-shot she's after....all or nothing.  But at whose expense?

Good lookin saints at least. I mean if ya gotta be a saint, might as well be hot

shhhhhhhh don't let them read you.........gah!  I'm sure it's too late now......lol.

I was just going thru boxes of stuff unpacking and I found cards I had kept from the boys and I got cards signed by "the best son"......"the bestest son"     "The macho son."  "the favorite son" etc.    I didn't see one saying "the best looking" but I'm sure after seeing this.....it's only a matter of time...lol.

I wonder if maybe it isn't the "human" condition to want to blame others.

Eve did it after all right?  heh.

I know my first impulse when caught doing something less than stellar, is to find a rational explanation, which of course means SOMEONE else to blame...hahaha.  Because it could NEVER be moi.

Adam did too... the WOMAN(1st blame) YOU(2nd blame) gave me did it.

Eve: The snake told me to!

Snake: Satan made me do it!

Satan: They all did it! Punish them all!

well you got a point.....so basically there's nothing new under the sun?

It just seems nowadays they get rewarded for it.

Satan: They all did it! Punish them all!

ya.....we all deserve it.....that's for sure!

Thank God he had a backup plan!

Thank God he had a backup plan!

Unfortunently we need to follow it a bit better...

Hmmmm I wonder if she even paid off her college debt yet?

From her current actions I think that we can safely assume a big no there however lawyers are pretty good at getting their hands on money from the darndest places where they really don't belong... As shown from the current lawsuit that this lawyer is waging. That's not to say that there arn't any good lawyers left in the world and I really shouldn't be making that kind of broad blanket statemnet but from all the crap that you see on TV it really makes you wonder.

I've noticed since we've moved here the frequency of lawyer ads on TV here compared to up North.  Last night I was disgusted as I listened to a lawyer advertsing his services against doctors who may have done you wrong...."call me.  I'll help you."

Ya, right.   The reason we're paying so much insurance nowadays is because of these lawyers looking for trouble and using us as middlemen to line their pockets.

I do know a very nice lawyer...but he stands out head and shoulders above all the rest.
