With The Right Equipment It's Possible
I have too much stuff! I've had two full weekends of garage sale and still have too much stuff. Alot has gone out, but I keep finding more and more stuff to fill those empty places. I don't know what we are going to do if I don't sell all this stuff.
I can see that I've got an addiction to sweaters. I have a ton of sweaters. I'm taking quite a few of my favorites but still have way too many. It's embarrasing to look at all these clothes and think about how they all belong to just me. Granted some are years and years old even tho they look new, but I've added quite well to the collection over the years.
And turtlenecks are filling a whole big box. I guess I must have thought I needed a turtleneck of every color imaginable. Well I don't think I'm going to need to keep my neck warm in Florida so out they go. Besides I'm just on this side of menopause, coming to this body soon I imagine, and we all know about what that does to the ol' thermostat. Turtlenecks have to go.
Long Underwear? Yup. Got that too. Won't need that in Florida. Actually I didn't wear it here either. Got brand new pairs of those wooly long johns for any so inclined. Boots have sold quite well. I think there are only like two pairs left out there waiting for the next sale.
Nobody took the tents, but I'm thinking they didn't know they were tents because they were in a box and just looked like a box of tarps or plastic so I decided it would be a good idea to put the tents up. I knew they were in good condition. So my girlfriend and I decided to tackle that job while my husband was painting the house.
Well the first tent went up pretty smoothly. We figured it out quite nicely and went onto the second one. The second one looks brand new. We spent more than an hour in the hot sun putting in and taking out the poles. It called for three of those long tent poles but we couldn't figure out which way they crossed over the top. The poles looked too long but we kept trying different ways getting more and more frustrated as we went.
So along comes hubby (laughing btw) who is quite logical and within minutes figured out exactly how those three poles were to be aligned. The problem was that these poles didn't go with this tent. Ahhhhhh so that was the problem. So we went to another bag of poles and sure enough those poles were a bit shorter. I thought these poles were all universal having no idea. So within 10 minutes or less with hubby's help that nice tent was up and looking pretty good.
Sooooo guess what he's saying now? I actually had an elder come up to me and ask this question yesterday.
"How many people does it take to put up a tent?"
"Two women and a man to show them how."
That's just ugly.
