That Didn't Taste So Good
I'm not sure why but I did another stupid thing this week. That makes two in one week!! Gah!!!! This time I swallowed Peroxide by mistake. Yup. Didn't taste so hot either. Actually it had a burning effect on my throat as it went down. Then my stomach didn't feel so hot a few minutes later that lasted for an hour or so. Actually I felt kind of sick. Pretty nasty stuff.
What happened was...... I was told by my Oral Surgeon friend to rinse twice a day with a mixture of Peroxide and water to keep my impacted tooth clean until he saw me. So every night before bed I would have my penicillin and then rinse with this concoction, not liking it one bit, I might add. So I had two little dixie cups by the sink. Since I had so much solution mixed, I figured I'd use it in the morning to finish it off. Well finish it off I did but not exactly as planned. In the am when I got up I took my last pill and grabbed the wrong dixie cup thinking it was the one with water in it. I downed it quickly with the pill and immediately went...uh oh. That wasn't good. Big mistake.
I immediately finished up with gads of water now feeling water logged along with everything else. Geeesh where is my head these days? I attribute this latest rash of stupidity to rushing around way too much. Both times I was in a hurry trying to do a million things at once. I am not slow moving by any stretch and maybe I just need to slooooow down.
Speaking of slowing down, and this is totally off subject. David called to say that Josh has been invited to some really big meet in CA. They want to help him break the world record in the 10K. Last week he ran a 13:20 5K with the best runners in the world. He ended up finishing 7th and setting a PR by I think he said 20 seconds. He's only I think 20! He's not even come close to hitting peak yet.
I'm going down next week to cook for all the guys including Josh. I may also get the chance to run with him.....I may be fast moving around the house, but I am not that fast on the roads. He will have to run my pace if we're going to run together. David wants us all to go to our favorite place in VA to run. It'll be fun if not a bit daunting to say the least.
