You've heard of the battle of the will? Well this is a story of the battle of the wolves. This is something I picked up somewhere, not sure who to give credit to, perhaps you've heard the story? Life is most certainly a battle. Which wolf are you feeding?

The Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grand son thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

I agree with you along the lines of their being to options in how to live life: Positively, or Negatively.

However, where it gets to:

"One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego."

Sorrow, and regret are not necessarily 'evil' emotions, or bad emotions. They just are; it is how you deal with them that matters.

I would say the attribution belongs to the old Cherokee.
