Evil. Even the word is ominous. What comes to mind when you think of that word evil? Jeffrey Dalmer? Eric Rudolph? Your mother in law? Hillary? (no last name needed) or how about that weird guy jumping over all the cars way back when? How about your boss or co-worker who just waits for you to screw up every day? Some describe evil as their kids out to get them. That thought usually passes after the teen years. How about the Muslim Terrorists? Do they qualify or are they just being assertive? What criteria does it take to make one evil?

Is it okay to hate evil? Or is that something that makes us just as evil? Can we hate evil without being evil ourselves? Takes one to know one kind of thing? What do others say about evil? I have a few here.

-Evil unchecked grows, evil tolerated poisons the whole system. Jawaharlal Nehru

-Evil often triumphs, but never conquers. Joseph Roux

-Woe to them that call evil good, and good evil, Isa 5:20

-Of two evils, choose the least.

-Be not overcome of evil but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21

-For the wages of sin is death. Rom 6:23

-All men are evil and will declare themselves to be so when occasion is offered. Sir Walter Raleigh

-I never wonder to see men wicked, but I often wonder to see them not ashamed. Jonathan Swift

-Men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil Jesus

--A person may cause evil to others not only by his actions but by his inaction, and in either case he is justly accountable to them for the injury. John Stuart Mill

Suggesting that Hillary Clinton might be 'evil' is malicious and un-Christian.

no more malicious than saying it about your mother in law or boss. .

your boss? Now that can get you fired. So I would be careful.

And your M-i-l? ......well she can just make your life miserable.

Evil...hmmmm....

I"ve never had a mother-in-law even though I was married twice.  They had both passed away long before I came along.

All my bosses were good,  except for the one that fired me for sleeping with his best friend...

Hilary?  I don't know politics,  thank God.

Evil?  Jeff Dahmer....hmmmmmmmmm

very mentally ill.

Evil is trying to hurt humans on purpose,  like Manson and his cult,  evil is like some of those crazies on the Springer show,  delibertely baiting others to order to start fights,  evil is driving drunk....

Just my thoughts late at night....

evil is driving drunk

Wow! Don't get me wrong, I think driving drunk is one of the worst things you can do but I also think it is unintentional in most cases. Drinking impairs everything including your ability to make a reasonable judgement on whether you are okay to drive or not. Drunk driving deaths are horrible indeed, absolutely avoidable, but Evil?

Evil is one of those subjectivie things. To me, Hitler=Evil. Terrorists=Evil. Anyone who takes a life for any other reason than self defense or defense of others is evil in my book but others mmay have plenty of justifications for killing. Some would even bring God or Allah into it.

People who torture animals are evil in my book too. There are some things that decent people would never do no matter what. Evil people do them because of whatever voices they hear or twisted curiosity they can't ignore urges them on. I will never understand Evil. I guess that is why it is difficult to define.

I thought it was a good question KFC. And, BTW, I don't think it is un-christian to bring my MIL or Hillary into it

TRUDY!!!!! Are you kidding? Sooooooo are you thinking you got a bum wrap here?

So the moral of the story is.....don't sleep with the boss's best friend and you will keep your job.

Ya, I'd have to agree with you here. I think it's stupid...not evil.

People who torture animals are evil in my book too

ohhhhh I didn't think of that one. Yes, evil indeed. Usually that's a first step in developing a very serious condition.

I know at least one mother who thinks her 2 year old is evil and just for the record.....I'm (so far) a good m-i-l.......hahahhah thanks Jill for your comments.
