"Save your fork."

Our Pastor friend said those are the sweetest three little words in the English language especially for those who love to eat.  Not only does he know when he hears these three little words that he can keep on eating, there's sure to be something sweet coming his way.  This may be the best part of the meal, he said, especially for those with a sweet tooth.  So he gladly hangs onto that fork.

Now along those lines dealing with food and three little words, I have to say the three little words I dread right now are:

"Welcome to Cici's!"

My husband knowing how I feel has been going around the house saying "Welcome to Cici's" with a wicked grin on his face the last few days.

For those who may remember, I wrote about winning a year's worth of free meals at Cici's last August.  I was so excited.  We didn't have a Cici's back home in Maine so I felt pretty good about winning this once a month dinner out for free.

So every month we go to Cici's.  And for those who have a monthly mortgage to make each month you understand how quickly the month goes by.  And not wanting to waste a free meal, we go out.  In fact everytime we go we get a free punch on another ticket they gave us.  For every six meals we get another free.  Oh good!  Guess what?  We have two punch cards completely punched good enough for another two meals on top of my monthly free meal.

Now, I've tried to give a month away a couple of times but it didn't work out.  I tried twice this month to give my ticket away but again no luck.  So guess where we're going tonight?  Yep.  It's June 29th and I waited until the end of the month hoping I could bless another with a free meal.  So not wanting it to go to waste........

"Welcome to Cici's!

To think I figured that the three words you were dreading was, "There's no God." That or, "Lula was right."

Really, and why is that?

because you don't have a relationship with the one who not only is going to bring it but would protect you from it.

N'ah, not really.

Are those coupons transferable across state lines? If so I'll take them off hands.  I'm always meeting people and our conversations always turn to religious and philosophical.

When you eat out frequently two main things happen:

1. The money goes really fast especially if you treat people

2. you gain a lot of weight

I don't think my body has fully adjusted to the sugary fatty content of food back in here the States even though I have been back for some time.

Cici's pizza is cheap and I guess its ah alright or as DMB would say 'you pay for what you get'

P.S. AJ out of curosity, do you believe in G-D or not? And why?  Do you ascribe to a religion? Just wondering.

not sure what you're saying......nah you don't have a relationship, nah you don't believe what I said or nah you really do have a relationship but just don't want me to know?

Ha!  now you say.....I only have one more free month left.  I don't think it is.  I won this because of a grand opening of a local CiCi's.  Stood in line for 2 hours or so....can you believe it?   So it's a local promotion.

ya, it's not really that good.  Last night I was really hungry so it did fill up that spot.

Of course I believe in God.  He changed my life and made himself known to me.   Do I ascribe to a religion meaning what?  Do I think any one particular group is better than another?  No.  Do I think some are preaching the truth?  Yes.  Some are, most are not.  Depends on the preacher and his relationship with God.

When Christ came he didn't come to start a denomination.  He came to seek and save the lost.  He said his kingdom is not part of this world so I don't believe he came to set up any kingdom on earth only believers that would follow him.

I do not abscribe to a religion; not anymore at least. I was once a Buddhist though. As for whether or not I believe in God - it would come down to what you mean by God; if you were to ask "Do you believe in the Christian, Judaic, or Islamic God?" Then my answer would undoubtedly be no.

However, while I lean a bit towards there not being any higher being - I concede that if there is one - it isn't as most religions have it. i.e. I just don't buy the vengeful god of the OT or loving yet slightly hypocritical God of the NT.  In my opinion, if there is a God (or ywh, or allah) - then it would make sense (to me) that it/he/she is essentially everything and everything is it, essentially a panentheistic approach.

If I were to have my kicks - God would be, at a simplified level, nature - so to speak. Most of the time I just don't concern myself with it (other than debate/discussion). I am often more concerned with managing my life,

So, technically I am an agnostic/atheist/freethinker.

All in all....complicated, lol.

Don't have one, and don't really believe what you said; though I am open to it, and perhaps I will "find God," somewhere down the road of my life.  (Or maybe he'll find me, as you've implied)

and if you look at the exchange in the garden you'd see that this is exactly what Satan was trying to get Adam and Eve to do.  He wanted them to take their focus off God and put it on themselves.  That's the whole point.  It's all about focus.

I just don't buy the vengeful god of the OT or loving yet slightly hypocritical God of the NT.

I don't buy those things either....because they're not true.  It's what the world tells you but it's not the reality at all.  But again, it's like getting to know someone, when you finally get to know them, then you realize all those rumors weren't true afterall.  Have you ever had that happen before?

(Or maybe he'll find me, as you've implied)

I hope so Lucas.  I do pray for you on occasion.  So keep looking for him.  He may show up one day and if/when he does, he'll knock you over for sure.

My speller don't work real good sometimes!

ha!  Mine either.  I think we have the same virus!
