We Are Pregnant Again!!!
Published on April 17, 2009 By KFC Kickin For Christ In Home & Family

So they say.

It wasn't for me.

Well that's not to say that I don't find my third son charming.  He is most certainly quite the charmer.  Ask his wife and anyone who knows David.

But...............

I have two brothers,

three sons and one stepson.

I also have two beautiful grandsons and one pair of pink and white baby Nikes in the closet.  They've been sitting there for a while now.  Just wating for the day they can be used.

Will this third time be the charm?

I am going to be a grandmother of yet another. Many are suprised when they find out that I'm old enough to be a grandmother but I am and it's getting increasingly harder to deny this especially since.........Brian and Amanda are expecting their third child in late fall.  This will make three grandchildren in three years!

Woo-hoo!

Three might be a charm afterall.  Let the names begin!

Congrats on the grandchild! I'm definitely not old enough to be a grandparent yet, but I can understand what it can feel like to have that grandchild (or in my case, nieces) in your arms. It's a great feeling.

P.S. I always thought the name Carter James was good.

nice name.  I do like it.   Hmmmmm is that your real name Alderic?

But remember we have to think really really hard for girl's names.  Since she'll be born maybe in December Holly would be nice!

Well of course we don't know the sex yet.......I can always hope this third time is a charm.  Otherwise they're just going to have to have a fourth......

True, I've always wanted to name my first girl Summer Rae (or Autumn) Elizabeth, and my first boy: Aiden Charles, or Benjamin Ryan. Mostly due to family connections.

Actually it isn't, haha; nice try.

Wow.

That's a lot of kids in that little townhouse...heh.  Maybe they should move off base, or try and get a bigger place once the baby comes...unless of course they PCS.

Congrats!

I agree, it reminds me of how things are going to be when (hopefully) my siblings, aunts/uncles and other family get together for the planned pseudo-reunion. My siblings alone make 15, then add spouses, children, etc.

ha.  That was my first comment (after being mildly surprised)......basically "get out of that house."  A nice house with a private backyard would be nice.  I remember when we had my third child (also in three years)the same thing happened to us.  We had to move and we did when the youngest hit about six months.

My siblings alone make 15,

wow!  I'm thinking you either grew up Catholic, Mormon or very very evangelical.

Now is the time to find a rental!  There are a few over here by me.  Almost an acre yard....big houses....

However, they can get more for their buck if they go to the other suburbs like Fairborn and Huber Heights...the school aren't that good there...but they don't have to worry about that..so the houses are cheaper...they should be able to find something nice for around $1200-$1500 a month in Beavercreek, maybe $1100 in the others.

If they're going to be here awhile...now is the time to buy!  Brian can use his VA loan and move in with no down payment, just negotiate closing costs.  The houses in the poorer school suburbs have dropped in some cases 15%.

Something to think about.

PCS?

Permanent Change of Station....basically moving to a new base.

Congrats!  Mia and Helena were two of my fave unused girls names.

I give a lot of credit to anyone who can care for 3 under 3!!

That would be cool.  I could visit you both easily enough then.  We are starting to think about when we both will come out to Ohio again.  I'll let you know so maybe we can all get together.  Maybe we can have a cookout or something???

It's tough especially the first year.  She knows this and is prepared but there's still nothing like living it.  She'll find out.  But after that it's nice to have three so close in age to grow up together.  Her three from the first to this one will be almost to the day (depending on which day) the same distance as my three only spaced differently.  I had two 11 months apart and then waited two years before the third was born.  Her three will be almost evenly spaced apart with Troy being about 17 months old when this one will be born.  Ethan was 20 months old when Troy was born.

I remember thinking that two were a breeze especially after the second starting sleeping thru the night fairly quickly.  I thought maybe I was just "supermom" or something because it wasn't as hard as I was warned.  Then when the third one came, all the rules of the game changed and I thought I was going to lose my mind.  Sleep deprivation was the culprit mostly.  It's hard being up all night with a cranky newborn and then getting up with a two and three year old.

Heh, there is Catholicism on my mom's side, and Jehovahs Witness/Mormanism on my dad's side; however, all but two of the siblings are from my biological father's side and the women he was with other than my mother; the remaining two are from my mother. I've also got seven adopted siblings, and there are also some people on my biological father's side that are in question as to whether they are my siblings/his children or not. So, all together there are more than 15, but that's just the confirmed count.

What can I say, my biological father got around.

Oh alright, thanks.

Wow!  I guess I wasn't far off was I?

I now can understand why you are a bit mixed up spiritually speaking.  It makes total sense.  Your father didn't do you any favors as the role model and should be spiritual head of his family.  You are totally going in a direction that makes total sense.

Just know that I was raised Catholic, and later became both a JW and a Mormon for a while.  If anyone understands, I do.

To a degree, perhaps. Mostly, I wouldn't call myself mixed up, so much as both (admittedly) extremely skeptical - some would say hostile, i disagree - of anything religious (save Buddhism), and still really finding my own way through life.

Congratulations from the brand new (okay--6 weeks now) gramma!

I have a closet full of girl things, just waiting for a girl grandbaby.  Of course Jace may be the one and only, in which case we have a huge garage sale in our future!

Names:  Kalyani (it sounds like poetry to me); I also like things like Zoey, Emma--kind of old-fashioned stuff...as opposed to the rather strange things my kids were throwing around before the baby arrived!

Yes, of course.  Let me know.
