I had a feeling this was coming......any thoughts?    What about the person who replaced him as U.S. Senator in New Hampshire?

Since he hadn't been confirmed yet, he hadn't officially resigned his Senate seat.  He'd just swung a deal for a specific replacement once his resignation was official.

Sen Greg, surely knew what he was getting into before accepting.  I think this is going to hurt him more than help in the long run.

ya, I wasn't sure exactly how that worked and now am wondering what the replacement must be thinking? I wonder if she knew how precarious her upcoming  short-term position was going to be?  Hopefully she'll retain her prior position as well.

ya I just realized that part of the deal was not only getting a Republican to replace him but that Republican had to agree not to run in 2010 so the Dems would have a chance for the seat.  So that made the whole idea bad in my opinion in the first place.  Sounds like a game of dirty pool.

Time will tell.   I wrote an earlier blog before he was asked, when it was blowing in the wind, and I was thinking then he shouldn't take the position.
