Are You An Imposter?

When I went to see Sarah Palin on Sunday we were fooled.

About two hours before Sarah was to show up, a Sarah Palin lookalike walked right past us and was escorted thru the barrier to go into the Market Square.  She was dressed like Sarah.  She had her hair done up like Sarah and with those glasses she was a dead ringer for Sarah.

So we all got excited.  As we watched this imposter walk up towards the crowd who had their backs to her because they were facing the podium, we started talking a mile a minute.  The Sarah wannabe had a cell phone pressed to her ear as she came thru the gate waving to us and speaking and smiling at the same time.  We were  leaning on the fencing that separated those inside from those on the outside.  Some were convinced it was her.

As those around me buzzed I intently watched this woman slip into the crowd in front of us.  I didn't notice any unusual commotion going on or any rushing to and fro trying to get a glimpse of her so I decided the whole thing was a fake. I guess I had my skeptic radar on.   But some were not so convinced.  It took them quite a while to realize this whole thing was part of the plan.  About an hour or so later this same Sarah look alike came over to our side once again and was posing for pictures along with another look alike, George Bush.  A much younger looking George Bush I might add.  The two were posing together as many were snapping away.

I did find out by talking to a few people later on that George Bush did fly in here a week or two ago.  He was invited to a private B-B-Q by the first famiy of the Villages.  I heard he stayed overnight even.  Of course it was all hush hush and not too many knew about this until after the fact.

In Bangor, Maine there is a TV anchor who resembles Sarah Palin, quite a bit.  You be the judge.  Check her out here:

Anyhow she's now receiving hate mail and nasty phone calls.  Care to guess who from?

They say we all have a twin out there.  Who do people say you look like?

I don't know if I look like anyone famous but I must have a twin or two our there since I'm always being mistaken for someone else.

I look like something the cat drug in after a long rainstorm, after I was hit by a truck, struck by lightning and forgot how to shave around two weeks ago.

I'm a dead ringer for this guy...can't remember his name.  Of course, he's about 7 years younger than I am.

my grandmother likes to look at movie stars and say who looks like who.  She's alot like in looks and personality to Kathryn Hepburn.  Auburn hair in the bun and all and both of the same generation.

She has said on diff occasions that I looked like Demi Moore and then later Olympia Snowe!.  Demi ok.......Olympia?  I must have had a very bad day!  She says Olympia is a very handsome woman.  Handsome?

I'm also being mistaken for someone else.  Not so much lately but for many years I was always compared to another.  I did meet one girl that looked alot like me and I agreed.  I couldn't take my eyes off her.  She looked like my sister and I don't have a sister.  Weird.

oh com'on!  I've seen your mug shot before.  You're not that bad!  But maybe you did shave before I saw that pic?

I'm a dead ringer for this guy...

Just yesterday, someone told me my "doppelganger" was Jack Ingram.

Jack Ingram

I'm hoping to catch Jack at Billy Bob's soon. (But, I won't go as a look-a-like!)

I've been told recently that I look like Trishelle from The Real World Vegas.  I looked her up.  I'll take it.  I never watched the show though.

Yep.  That was taken outside of Tahoe High School before a gig while I was stationed in San Diego.

Too bad your opinions didn't match your looks!

I'd remind you that you only know the opinions of OckhamsRazor who is but one facet of me as a whole.

People are always looking at me out on the street with a vague who-are-you look. Heh, they don't recognize me in street clothes as when they see me at work I wear a uniform. Of course me in street clothes and me in uniform in a real sense ARE two completely separate people!

People always say, "Do we know each other?"

I have one of those faces that looks like EVERYONE.  But nobody famous.

I was in Corpus Christi attending a workshop in July. I was wearing a sportscoat with a t-shirt and untucked oxford shirt. While walking around the vendor booths, I heard someone's computer playing a Jack Ingram song. I turned and saw them gathered around a computer. (They were on Ingram's website.) One of them asked me if I was Jack Ingram. I got a kick out of it, and I visited with them for a while (as me, not Jack).

Ingram won the ACM Horizon Award recently for best new country artist (despite the fact that he's my age and despite the fact he's put out several albums on the Texas Country circuit). You've probably heard him on the radio...his music is awesome!!! Love You? Lips of an Angel? Measure of a Man? Or his Texas Country stuff (which is really good)? No? Check him out...http://www.myspace.com/jackingram.

Agreed.

KFC...This is a fun blog! It's always good to match a face to a name. And I've learned a few new names...I'd never heard of Olympia Snowe before.

Let's see if this works...My face looks exactly like the one in the middle...just try to picture it without all of the 80s hair and clothes...
