And Get This Show On The Road

I've already gone on record to say I believe possibly the presidential election could come down to Huckabee vs Hillary. Of course we still have a ways to go and time will surely tell. I think he's the GOP's only hopeful. My opinion.

At the Values Voter Summit in Washington DC a week or so ago Huckabee came out strong and was received as such. His speech was interrupted at least 20 times with applause and had at least a dozen or so standing ovations. He also won, by a large margin, an on-site straw poll. I've heard him speak. I was impressed.

Pro-family leaders are a bit nervous tho about Huckabee. They are not sure he's electable. These leaders like Dobson, Bauer and Perkins don't look at Huckabee as a clear winner so they are keeping their distance. I think they should come out and back him right now. Let's unite. If we do, Hillary is dead in the water.

In the national polls Huckabee is gaining ground. Last Spring he wasn't even mentioned in some of the polls and maybe 2% in others. While Huckabee is slowly gaining ground some of the frontrunners are losing theirs. Giuilani, for instance is running about 28% in some polls now, but was as high as 40% last Spring. McCain and Thompson numbers also went South in the last six months. Romney's poll numbers seem to be eratic even after the fact that he has the most money to spend, out spending the rest and Huckabee by about 5-1 last I heard. So right now we have Huckabee at number 5 and not too far back from the third spot but gaining ground everyday. If this trend continues, he could very well overtake a couple of these frontrunners ahead of him in the next few weeks.

In the next few months after the primaries start going, some of these candidates will drop. Some think McCain may be the first to go for the frontrunners. As some of these frontrunners numbers continue to head south, I think Huckabee will pick up steam. For evangelicals he's the only answer. Some of these evangelicals now are now supporting Giulani. Tony Perkins, head of the Family Research Council, has estimated that there may be 25% supporting Giulani right now but their support is "squishy."

Right now there seems to be a divison of pro-family leaders in their supporting of any candidate. They are nowhere united at this stage of the game behind any candidate. Some of these evangelical leaders seem to be behind Giulani and others like Jay Sekulow and Bob Jones III are throwing their support behind Romney. I did hear of one Southern Baptist leader down South who withdrew his support of Giulani and I expect to see more of this as time goes by.

Still going to stick my neck out and say.....Huckabee vs Hillary.

do tell.

he lost to romney by 30 votes (altho, as i pointed out in an article elsewhere, anyone who 'donated' $1 to frc was able to vote...and prolly vote again as well)>

So where is "Mini Me"?

As for my prognostication?  I am lousy at handicapping politics, so I will just wait and watch and see.  I know who I will NOT vote for, but as yet dont have one I will definitely vote for..

It's nice to look at the world through rose colored glasses, KFC,

Well then Bill Clinton has the same prescription. He too has gone on record on ABC to say that Huckabee is the one he's worried about.

but Huckabee's dead in the water and somewhere deep down inside you know it.

nope, if I did, I wouldn't have written this in the first place. Why did I go out on a limb here if I didn't believe it?

Even as an evil liberal Democrat...I

hey Zoo, I thought you said you were a Christisn? lol.

And then he threw his head back in laughter. They had to cut to commercial break because both he and the announcer were laughing so hard that they couldn't continue.

Yer choice is going to be Rudy vrs the evil Hillary... just face up to it already heh heh heh.

Remember every vote for a third party is a vote for Hillary. you might just as well go into the booth and vote for higher taxes, more abortions on demand, unfair taxation, and a host of other evil crap.

ok MM....you may be right......or .......I may be right here. Or......neither of us will be. Time will tell. It's really anybody's guess isn't it? That's why I said after the first few primaries we'll know better.

I mean it could be Obama vs Huckabee, or Obama vs. Rudy......but it's sure to be interesting.

I don't think I've ever voted third party anything so that's not usually my way anyhow.

Obama

is around 35 points behind the evil Hillary and losing ground.

While Huck issa good man and really is much closer to the Republican party line, he is a dark horse and has not the war chest {money} to compete.

Let's be straight: Your backing Huckabee is like my backing Richardson or Kucinich - cute, makes me feel good, but ultimately useless.

Kucinich
