"Suggestion: Instead of blasting the trumpet of what they've done wrong, why not talk about what they have done right, or have started to do, that is positive."

I can't answer for KFC, but I'd have to guess when you don't like people, and you don't want them to win elections, you probably won't want to go around singing their laurels.

wrong answer....try again.

hey, I like my answer. Remember, I'm technically registered Democrat . . .

Perhaps, but, for example. I don't like child abusers, but i still admit that there are some that have paid for their crimes; they've both strived to help children not be abused, and have turned for the better. I, personally, always look for the good in things, no matter how i feel.

So by that logic when Democrats repent and are reformed, I can like them and laud them. Okay, I'm cool with that. I mean, you don't like the child abusers that proudly proclaim their abuse and try to promote more abuse, right?

When I bump into Ted at an abortion clinic protest, I'll take your advice.

Okay, I'm taking this as you are being serious. 'Cause it seems like maybe...

No, I don't like them.

That brings up something. Repent, how so? Do you say they've repented/reformed?

Comes down to personal choice.

on Jan 22, 2007
No, in your example you said that you had to admit that the good you find in child abusers is that some have repented of their crimes and turned over a new leaf. I said, by that logic, I'll be able to find the positive in Dems when they turn over a new leaf and cast off their Democratness...

Hey, some of us ain't all that bad . . .

Just keep it up, buddy. I'm in the mood for a flamefest.

(And yes, since if I really wanted to start one, you'd be the very first person I'd want to start it with. Except for maybe an Admin. )

Repent!!! Penitenziagite!!! Cast off your pinkoness and do not follow your brothers into the hell that is a suburban community meeting. There they will discuss standards for gender-neutral language in local government documents for all eternity!!!
on Jan 22, 2007
First off, I agree with SC, it's not funny. What it is, in my opinion, is just another moment of someone joining the good ol' "democrats are bad" bandwagon. *sighs* C'est la vie.

Some people just dont have a sense of humor.

You "really" don't want to get into one of those. It'll get real ugly, really fast.

Jerk.

I only like flamefests when I'm not going to get exiled. I'm not really stupid enough to get in a fight with Baker, much less the admins.

why not come over to the dark side, and enjoy a few pleasantries.

says the fox to the little girl.........ummmmm thanks for the invite but....NO......

You must be young......

are you bragging or complaining? We really need to talk SC. What is a decent Mormon such as yourself doing on THAT side anyhow? I would think much of what the Dem's believe would clash with your religious side. Or do you separate the two?

Lesson from KFC

Humor=good
Flamefest=bad

Don't worry, I was joking about the flamefest. And I gathered that Baker got that. We've been busy trying to talk some sense into Rightwinger lately, and we were both branded as flamers in the last big so-called (and misnamed) flamefest. So I don't intend to start any flaming, least of all against Baker.

You can be a moderate Democrat and still be a good christian . . . I'm not one of the baby-killing types or anything . . . I neither brag nor complain. I simply am. Here in Utah, I appear very liberal . . . but that's because I live in a state of fascists. Outside Utah, I'm rather conservative in contrast.

In Utah, you can pull off being a strong Democrat and a good Mormon. Really, you can. I promise.

Good thing you are a democrat, or your party would flame you for that!
on Jan 22, 2007
Yeah, I think you can be a good Christian and be a Democrat, especially if you aren't an overly dogmatic Christian. I think most Christians who are Dems are so in spite of a lot of the policy they produce, though. They just seem to value the "helping the poor" song-and-dance more than they loathe the other aspects of Dem moral bankruptcy.
